Congrats! Had a nomination DEAL3 hit DD’s West Point portal. I am thinking this is LBR’s. DD’s USNA has been slow updating - they had sent her DoDMERB info on 9/23 - the same day the system crashed and it was stuck in the ether until Thanksgiving…Hi there. DD nomination from LBR arrived in USNA portal. Same email received on Monday from LBR office.
NothingNothing. How about Schumer?
My DS received a call from his office last week about his nomination.Has anyone heard from MOC District 10 North Carolina?
For our DS, yes-TWE from our Congressman and Cornyn and Cruz. I don’t think that he can compete for VP nom if he can’t get a senatorial nom. He will regroup and probably make a plan to improve and reapply next year. Pressing forward…Same here…is that a definite “not nominated”?
A wonderful Christmas gift!DD just received USNA nom from MOC FL-25
Merry Christmas all!
It was a denial for both my DS and DD. Both received on Christmas Eve.Same here…is that a definite “not nominated”?
IF they wish to offer an appointment, the SAs have more flexibility as to what nom source to charge an appointment to, in other words, the candidate has another competitive bucket to compete in.DS received a second nomination to USAFA in today's mail, this one from Sen Portman (R-OH)!! First one was from Rep Davidson. Are there any statistics on how to quantify how two nominations vs one may improve odds of receiving an offer of appointment?
That’s so hard. SorryIt was a denial for both my DS and DD. Both received on Christmas Eve.
Hear, hear!I just want to take a minute on this Christmas Eve and thank every candidate, no matter what academy you have or are applying to. Whether you have secured a nomination and are now in the wait to see if you are offered an appointment, or if you were unsuccessful this round and will try again or seek a commission through another nominating source ….. Thank You!
You are showing a willingness to step forward and serve in our nation’s military while many other either will not, or are not so qualified. As one who has served, and now has one son deployed and two others at service academies I truly appreciate - as I am sure many other on the forum do - your desire to serve and choice of this path. You are willing to take on the hard work and commitment to lead tomorrow’s military and I am so moved by both the caliber of young men and women that seek to enter today’s service academies and their commitment to keep America safe and secure through a strong military, which is still the best assurance of peace in the future.
If you didn’t get that nomination or are not successful in obtaining that offer of appointment please keep working towards your goal and try again or seek a commission through another route. The United States military needs you - your intelligence, your perseverance, your technical skills, and your desire to serve! Thank you so much!
