Unfortunately you may not hear back from the Senators until closer to the end of January. Hopefully your congressional results will be sooner than that.

It all depends on the MOC’s process. Many have local offices (in their home district) that oversee the nominations process but many times the actual input of nominations into the academies systems is handled through DC offices. Usually the congressman / woman signs a form formalizing the nominations then they are inputted into the academies systems. This can be held up by holidays, employee workload, and any number of other logistical issues (just getting form signed) but if you had the call or received the letter - it will happen! Nominations usually will appear in the academy’s portals within 24 hours after being inputted by the MOC’s office.
 
Thanks! Helpful input. We check the portal too frequently. My DD received an LOA before Thanksgiving to Navy and this is the final step so she's anxious and excited (and me too) !

It just showed up in the portal. No call or other correspondence so far.

Same with my DS so that makes him feel better, to know same timing with LOA. He’s watching that portal like a hawk! Good luck!
 
@ChatterMom2 and @CoffeeMama, DD also has not received a link. Also, still nothing from Sen. Padilla's office. BTW, are either of you (or anyone else out there) in Ted Lieu's district, and if so, have you heard anything?

No, sorry, different district here. Not surprised about Padilla's office. Padilla's office and Feinstein's office usually coordinate or at least they have in the past. If I remember correctly from some of last year's posts, Padilla's office ran on a slightly later timeline. Has your daughter inquired with Lieu's office to see if they have sent out interview notifications yet? Hopefully the email link from Feinstein's office shows up tomorrow.
 
Thanks, @ChatterMom2. Ted Lieu's office completed their interviews in late October, so we are just waiting. We have a friend who is currently a Yuk, and when he was applying, the notifications went out before Thanksgiving, so I have been (silently, privately) antsy since the 23rd.

I'm glad this forum is here as other than that one friend, we don't know anyone in the military world. So it's been a steep learning curve. I'm excited to possibly put on my Military Mom hat and attempt to bubble-wrap my DD, but I see that I'm being initiated into the Hurry Up and Wait experience 😄

@Monikat & @ChatterMom2 Different district here as well. Fingers crossed you hear something soon from Lieu's office. Maybe Feinstein's office is testing their ability to navigate uncertainty ;) during this interview process. If so ... well played! Keep us posted on Padilla or otherwise. Will let you all know if we hear anything about a link today. I hear you on the deep gratitude for this resource and the people here who are patient, wise and always helpful!

In the same boat with my DS got the call the day before thanksgiving and nothing in the portal yet… the press release went out

I am from Ted Lieu's district and haven't heard anything. I received an LOA for the USNA on Thanksgiving and emailed his office the day after. I received a reply last week saying they were grateful for my letting them know, so I would say they haven't made their decision yet (as of last week). Good friend of mine received Lieu's principal nom last year and didn't find out until the middle of December. Just the waiting game for now I guess...I interviewed with Feinstein's team today and they said we should hear back within two weeks.

My son interviewed via Zoom for Senator Toomey 10/24. (That application was due 9/2.)

He travels to Fort Indiantown Gap tomorrow to interview for Senator Casey. (Application was due 10/5.)

He was told his interview with Congresswoman Scanlon (PA-5) would be early December. (Application was due 11/1.)

What district are you? Not sure if timelines are same this year...
DS was PA-6 and received congressional Nomination on 12/23 to USNA (1st choice) and Full Appointment to USNA on next day (had a LOA).

Last yr DS used Toomey (he allowed one academy choice) for 2nd choice, USMA, and received his Nomination from Toomey on 12/31/21 and appointment from USMA 1/18/22. Not sure if timeline for noms are same from Toomey for all academies.

DD just received notice of virtual interview with Sen Ossoff (Ga) scheduled for tues, and she also has in- person interview with our district representative’s panel this weekend . Warnock’s office sent virtual twe … no interview .
