2028 State Nominations Thread

DD just had Florida- Senator 82 nomination show up in her USAFA portal this morning! I believe it may be Rubio based on last year's thread.

Love informed delivery … until the letter from Senator Duckworth that shows is coming doesn’t show up. Happened yesterday. We were excited to finally read her answer & went to get the mail & it wasn’t there. Total let down 😂! Thankfully our neighbor is trustworthy & texted me a few hours later to let me know she had received some mail for DS. Low & behold, it was the elusive Tammy Duckworth letter we have been waiting for …

There were a LOT of people at the interview that day, I was like, 'no way I'm getting a nom when I'm only applying for one academy'. I'm pretty surprised also, I was expecting one of them to go to someone applying for all the academies lol

My ds said most of the candidates he talked to at his interview were only applying to USAFA. He only saw a small subsection of the interviewees because they were done over 2 days and were pretty spread out, but I found that interesting. The staffer jokingly chided him for not having USMMA on his list. He told her that the USMMA didn’t want a colorblind candidate.

We are thankful for great neighbors as this happens to us all the time. I should start tipping the very polite teen next door when he brings us our mail. Informed delivery is failing me this week. How is it possible that we are only getting 1 piece of junk mail this close to Christmas. I’m sure there are Christmas cards in there too. Guess I’ll check this afternoon anyway.
 
Have any folks from NJ heard anything from their MOC on nominations? I am asking for a dear friend who has a DS applying to USNA - she is not on this forum. Thanks!

We are in District 5 and my daughter was notified about her nomination about 2 weeks ago. Still no info from Booker/Menendez.
 
Looked like DD's USNA portal got updated with a nomination from our local MOC, CA09, but no update yet on the West Point portal. Hoping to get multiple nominations since she had put in USMA as her first choice. She has LOAs from USNA, USMA, and USAFA; so hoping to get an appointment with at least one of them.
We are still waiting for Mrs. Butler's panel decision and going to have an interview very soon with Mr. Padilla's panel.

With our district rep, my DD USNA portal updated days before USMA did, and she had USMA as her first choice. I would wait a few days and keep positive because she was so confused and worried for nothing.

Same! Our MOC held panel interviews for ONLY candidates first choice school and the staffers told DS that the Congressman would only give one nomination per candidate. MOC personally called DS a week later and told him He had a nomination to any service academy of his choice and he had listed USMA as top choice. He logged into USNA portal and saw MOC nomination and he was confused, but then a few days later he also had his USMA nomination, so the MOC ended up giving him USNA and USMA.

Yes. DD received 3 noms from Soto via email last Tuesday. She just received a letter, too. Maybe check email and snail mail? Nothing from Rubio yet.
