It's unnecessarily at this point.

You have to understand that there are just a very small handful of people at CC that do the updating, they are very busy right now and probably would not even respond if you did contact them. The best thing is to let this play out today, it is an email that will come first, don't worry about the status page, it goes through all kinds of quirks everytime this process starts.

Don't be surprised if they are not posted today. Just keep checking your email first,, if nobody has received an email before 4:30 Ft Knox time then it will probably not happen until tomorrow.

If it is still in an unknown status, click "Contact Us" at the top of the page to send a message to the administrator." This tells me that they are going to post the results either later today or tomorrow.
 
I am so sorry you all are going through this frustration with the system. I can understand how nerve wracking it must be.

I can also understand trying to grasp at anything that may indicate one way or another what's to come in this process. However, from the outside looking in now, I honestly don't think anyone should take what their portal is doing as a sign one way or another. Remember, on the first board the portal wasn't updated till the next day AFTER the emails were sent out. So, this may totally just be a fluke that some of you are experiencing, and for whatever reason the rest are not.

Also, if it follows suit of the last board, you all still have a couple hours left to wait for that email... and if the system is failing right now, who knows it may be longer than that.

Do not lose faith!! Wait for that email to come, and if you don't get it this time there is always the 3rd board and campus based scholarships to be had.

There's a lot of us out here rooting for all of you! So, try to have patience, and DO NOT overdose on Pepto Bismol for goodness sake! :shake:

Same for my DS. For those who are "Unknown," it seems to be following the same progression.

EDIT: now back to "Boarded"
 
Everybody constantly checking their status probably broke the system. Go constantly refresh your email account instead. If you don't get an email from Cadet Command by next Monday check back with your application.

Ok folks, I completely understand how anxious you are about hearing something. TAKE A VERY DEEP BREATH.
Now hopefully you are somewhat calmed down. Please note the folks at CC are doing the inputting on all of the status updates.... In addition to that they are...
1) Taking care of the candidates that were boarded on the first board ( including but not limited to medical issues, medical waivers, moral/admin. waivers)
2) CULP and other programs for current ROTC members.
3) Medical waivers for current ROTC members wanting to go to AA or Airborne schools
4) Pay issues for current ROTC members including but not limited to book money, stipends, scholarship payments.
5) Keep in mind they also are dealing with LDAC being moved from Washington the Ft. Knox

I'm sure I am missing some of the other things they do as well.
Unless someone has concrete information to the contrary I would not expect any information this week. Last year the notifications came out the very end of January if memory serves. DS was notified 02/01/2013. This is a marathon. Some will say getting the scholarship is the easy part. Now comes the hard part, medical clearance by DoDMERB, school acceptance,staying out of trouble and healthy. As the t-shirt says.." Keep calm and carry on".Best of luck to you all.:thumb:

My DS did send a message per the instructions and received this reply:

"There is nothing wrong with your application and no action is required on your part at this time. There was an automated processing error in the system. IT support is aware of the situation and are currently working to rectify the issue. Continue to periodically check your status for updates."
 
Wow, I went from VERY UPSET believing my kid was DQ'd to HOPEFUL that the "unknown" status might be a sign of good things, to PUZZLED about it going back to "boarded". Today has been rough to say the least. I'm going to take a nap! I'll check again tomorrow... if I can hold out that long.
 
Relax, everyone. There's no way you can break my US record for most times checking a Cadet Command portal.

Two footnotes to my record. First, despite the anxiety indicated above, I had nothing to do with my son's idea of applying for an AROTC scholarship. Second, he was nonchalant about whether he got the scholarship or not, and probably didn't check the portal once. (I've never asked him but I believe his unannounced Plan B was to enlist in the Marines with a high school buddy whose four years are nearly up.) I did slouch into action, however, when we learned he'd gotten a scholarship to the wrong school.

Yeah right dude! Before I got the scholarship I was checking it 3 times a day even though the board wasn't for months. Now that I have it, I still check the portal once a day just to make sure they didn't try to take it away overnight or something :biggrin:
