AFROTC EA due date

Who else is hoping to go to max 1?

:thumb: LOVE THE SELF CONFIDENCE !! :thumb:

So many posters are concerned whether or not they are going to ANY Max.....

I can tell you for certain that my DS would love to see you there! Not only is the weather better, but he will have to rework his summer school plans if he doesn't get Max 1...

For what it's worth - word came down through channels that the AS200's at my son's Det are to have a bag drag inspection Tue with ALL requirements to be procured by then. No they did not get briefed on specifics or who did or did not get selected- I don't have anything else to add to that...

Good luck to all of you!

Our Cadre made an announcement today that EA's should be coming out by the end of the week. Best of luck to all!

That's crazy for them to make them do a bag drag if they have not said who's been selected or not.

The reason I say that, is because my DET told us not to buy anything until the EAs are announced, because they do not want us going out and spending money for the bag drag, if some wont be going to FT. And they're giving us a week to gather all things.

I would love to go to MAX 1 to go ahead and get FT completed, so that I can the rest of the summer to have R&R. But at this point, most cadets would be happy to be able to go to any of the MAXs.

I'm not speculating - but it's a fact...

That's what we were told too. We're not supposed to worry about the bag drag until after EAs come out.

+1...unless they know something good.....LIKE EVERYBODY got an EA..

Either that or they better keep their receipts....and that's plain lame. That is almost worse than hurry up and wait!

Or maybe they know they plan on announcing EA's before the weekend..

I expect the real point is that if the bag drag is scheduled for Tuesday that they will certainly let the selections be known prior to then, probably today.

My heart goes out to these cadets if the bag drag is next Tuesday because that list is not short, and most of the items required needed will mean running to Wal Mart.

For some cadets in an urban area that is no issue. For others with no car, that can be a problem, especially if they wear glasses, because they will need a second pair.

Honestly, X amount of blue pens is easy, x amount of 1" blue binders not so much.

They plan on getting together and going in shifts to WalMart this weekend so no-one has to shop alone and they can double check each other. Sounds like a good plan.

i was advised by my DS that they are having a 'special' LLAB on Friday for the 200s in uniform. I would guess that word will be spreading tomorrow

Wow, we haven't even been issued half of the issued stuff that we need for FT yet. We put in the sizes and stuff but I think they're just in the ordering process and figuring out what people have and need. Can't really have the bag drag until this is all done - seems like your son's det is really on top of things!!

They've consistently been the best large Det in the S.E. and they're up for a major AFA award this year. EA selection rates have averaged 80+ % in recent years. From the outside looking in they really seem to be very well motivated and led (both cadre and POC). I'd expect it though being in such close proximity to MAFB. Good luck to you!
