Does AFROTC ever consider a school that is not currently listed? For example, Saint Anselm as a crosstown affiliate to Detachment 475 University of New Hampshire, which is 50 minutes away. But St. Francis College, which is 30 minutes away, is not. (I'm only using these schools as an example, not asking about them specifically.)
How do schools become crosstown affiliates? Is it student driven, school drive, AF driven, or a combination? Has there ever been a consideration for a student to work out the details ahead of enrolling and join a local Detachment, despite the school (they are interested in enrolling) not initially being on the crosstown affiliate list (for a Type 1 or 2 scholarship.)
