I live in Illinois and am looking into joining the army reserves medical corps as a social worker. I am prior Navy and have active and reserve time in the navy prior to becoming a social worker. I meet all qualifications for becoming an officer in the army reserves medical corps. I want to find out the details of what I would, most likely, be doing in the reserves as a social worker on drill weekends, two week trainings, and deployment possibilities.

If you have your masters degree and license contact an AMEDD recruiter. I know there are AMEDD recruiters in Peoria and Deerfield and likely more - they all have facebook pages too. Social Workers are Medical Service Corps rather than Medical Corps. Here is a link to find AMEDD Recruiter contact information. AMEDD RECRUITER AMEDD Recruiters should be able to put you in contact with Officers of similar specialties.
