From what I was told yesterday, they will start letting those who won this round of scholarships know anywhere from mid to late October. The board dates changed a bit from the original ones set.

Good luck,

My son got his response from Dodmerb and Qualified!

Has anyone heard back from the boards yet?

We're not sure if our son's application was placed before the first board, it's too bad that there is no way to find out.

Cadet Command had everything (after having "misplaced" his transcripts) in very early September and confirmed over phone the first a few times that everything was complete. His contact kept saying that he should have gotten the email but it took weeks to receive the email that it was complete and that was dated 9/25 so it may have too close to the boards.

cjs, I know it's very frustrating to wait. No one has posted on any boards I have seen that they have been awarded a scholarship from the first board, so that probably means results haven't been disseminated yet. Unfortunately, you will have no closure if your son did not receive a scholarship the first time around as there is no notification if they didn't get selected.

If Cadet Command has told you they have everything, then all you can do is wait. I know it's tough. I went through this last year with my son.

Thanks, patience isn't my best attribute!!

I'm sure they have a record number of applicants this year so there are loads of applications for them to go through. One of our senators is 2 weeks behind sending out the notifications to interview for the SA nomination due to the overwhelming amount of applications they received.

Thanks again for the support!

If you have a good relationship with a PM or scholarship officer you may ask them if your application is board ready and if it made it to the last board.

Son visited 2 schools this week and met with PMS/Scholarship officer. He only stated that his application was complete. Both officers checked the files online and told him that it was board ready and had missed the last boards (wasn't ready for them) and will be presented to the next boards. They were also able to double check that the recent ACT scores were input and the college choices were correct.

All I did to check on my application was call my region's rep. at CC. She told me everything was done and it was being reviewed by the first board. She also told me the subsequent board dates. All this was about two to three weeks ago.

We can never get a hold of our region's rep at CC. Her box is always full and she doesn't answer the phone ever!

She just answered! She did not let me know if he made it to the first board but did say that they met.

The dates she gave me were all 4 day spans for the boards. The first she said started Oct 6. Then Nov. 30th, Jan. 4th, Feb 13, March 1, and April 5.

She also stated that she is not sure, but if they do it like last year they may send out emails to the student letting them know if they went before a board. I haven't read that on here before so don't know if that's what happened last year.

Nope, not yet. This past Thursday I was told by a Scholarship Officer at one of my schools that no one has gotten anything yet so that's good. He said hopefully the results will come out this week or next. But he was not sure.

Typically it takes 4-6 weeks before you will hear anything.

I can't speak for the Army, but two yrs ago, the AF sent postcards saying you met the board, and we will notify you in a few weeks of the results. That card came about 3 weeks after the board met, and the scholarship notification came 3 weeks after that. Earlier boards usually have a shorter turn around time, because they have fewer applicants.

Also, last yr there were candidates that were deferred after meeting the board, and brought to the board again at the next meeting. Typically, this occurs in the borderline situation and they want to see if they are going to make the cut off...the pot of money can only go so far. ROTC scholarships typically are the back up plans for those applying to an SA, thus, the pot of money changes as candidates start accepting appointments and rejecting scholarships.

We were trying the AROTC scholarship status site and they seem to be having issues unless it's my computer. Is anyone else able to get into the site?

It is strange, the same thing happened to me. Perhaps the site is just down, or...they are working on updating peoples status.
