AROTC Board 2

I'm curious. Does Army ROTC have separate nursing boards? I know Navy does, which is why I ask.

I really hope it works out for us. It’s hard to have so much patience. It really seemed like we had good stats, I suppose it must have been super competitive this year.
 
My son has a friend who is very interested in nursing and was awarded on the first AROTC board. No idea what was marked on her app.

It is the same board, but there are a specific number of scholarships that are set aside for nursing. If you designate nursing as your major, there has to be a nursing slot available. I have never heard of someone asking for nursing and receiving a scholarship on the condition they change their major. So my assumption (and it may be wrong) is that nursing students are put on a separate OML and even if they would place high on the other OML they would not get an offer.

Someone out there in the know, please correct me if I am wrong.

We are all rooting for you but a lot of awards will come from the third board. My DS’s did (and he still got a scholarship to his top 2 schools), so I understand how hard the wait can be, but just have your plan A and B ready to go when you get the final result.

Good luck for this board and remember some people did move from B/UC directly to winner on past boards!
 
Just looked through the first board forums again. Candidates started getting changes to “boarded” with the school of intent page locked on the 17th of December. They then received their final decisions on the 19th. Now since ours started to change yesterday it’s plausible that they will come out tomorrow. But who knows maybe today?
 
My son's portal is still at Boarded. He did e mail the school that notified him he was awarded a national scholarship yesterday. the contact at that school said although it was not official, according to his records DS got the 4 year. He also knew the other schools that he was being offered the award to and was nice e enough to let him know. We will see, don't want to get hopes up but it is looking promising.

Same for me. Holding out hope. Friend said he got notified the other day he didnt get

Did yours go to Boarded today or yesterday? It had initially been B/UC? It's not always the case, but often winners, before they're announced, change from B/UC to Boarded.
