Chicken Sandwich War of 2021

Can't wait to try the new sandwich.

DS is now entering sophomore year at University of South Florida School of Business and majoring in Hospitality Management. He has been working at Chick-Fil-A in Tampa for two years. He has risen to become part of the management team and was recently made hiring manager. He works closely with the franchise owner. It looks like he is not going to pursue a commission in the military. But he is getting all the leadership and management experience at Chick-Fil-A, that I had wanted him to get in the military. He just found it a different way. Unfortunately, he had a negative experience in JROTC his senior year in high school (which I will not get into here) that turned him off to the military. In hindsight, it looks like it worked out for the best that he did not win a ROTC scholarship.
 
It is topical. I read about that today and I'm considering it. I'm not a pimento cheese fan but I may have to try this one when the line is short. It almost never is

DS says its coming everywhere eventually. Also, caramel frosted coffee, caramel iced coffee and caramel milkshakes.

Geez, those areas are getting too crowded as is it. No need to create more reasons for tourists to come.

I may have to make a road trip. Maybe they're just testing it there?
 
Maybe Chick Fil A can have a tasting booth for any new bacon products at the First Annual SAF Bacon-Con, being organized by @THParent . I hear the swag bags will feature that big bag of bacon crumbles from a club store. And a squadron patch with bacon?

I believe costumes are encouraged.

And maybe I should stop being silly..

It’s interesting — at least to me — that while bacon burgers are easy to find, bacon chicken sandwiches are not. In fact, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen one on any menu. Why is that?

Just trying to bring this thread back to order. 😉
 
Agreed. Any chicken sandwich talked about in this thread would not be harmed in any way by the addition of crispy bacon.

And I’ve read Popeye’s has some kind of chicken and bacon sandwich in testing.

Can confirm that Popeye’s offers a bacon and cheese addition to their delectable chicken sandwich. Takes it from a 10/10 to a 15/10.

I will be in Wilmington NC on Wed and will happily research the Arby's sandwich. I'll also test the Hardee's Bacon Swiss Chicken sandwich which I assume is the same as Carl's Jr.
 
I feel like the Bacon Thread just opened a franchise in this thread.

Chick Fil A did have one for a while... the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon sandwich or something like that. Wish they'd bring it back.

The Maple Pepper Bacon sandwich is reportedly testing in Lexington and Indianapolis as of June 12th:
