Excuse the question from the clue-less father, but I've got a question about the low quarters. Should my son arrive on R-Day with them shined or just how they came when purchased?
They don't have to be shined. He'll spend plenty of time shining them during Beast. I would recommend that he show up without them looking scuffed up but he not attract attention with highly shined shoes.
We didn't get any last year. Myself and a few others had to get it from the C-Store later on.Unless something has drastically changed, you’ll be issued shoe polish.

+1,000,000Broken in shoes will be a blessing for his feet the amount of walking he will be doing in them.
@prospective2019 Can you give a few examples of court shoes you and/or classmates have used? I am thinking Nike Metcons or a low top basketball shoe, but I could be off so wanted to clarify. Also, is it a good idea to have a dark running shoe due to mud/dirt? Thanks.
Reebok RB 8808: Sublite Tactical(unisex) 95$? I need 9 sizes so the same price for 9 sizes?Hey, I just wanted to point out something I found on the west point website. If anyone is wondering what boots/low quarters they can start breaking in, there is a link attached. I believe admissions will issue the boot letter sometime in the near future, so it might be better to wait on that. Anyways, congratulations to all my classmates! https://s3.amazonaws.com/usma-media/inline-images/military/directorate_of_cadet_activities/pdfs/PlebeShoeOrderForm.pdf
Think dad-grilling shoes.
