Hello.
Where I worked has just instituted some crazy rules for asking for time-off. Because of that I am trying to figure out when the Naval Academy has the Plebe Parent Weekend this summer . . .2019. I looked on the website and don't seem to be able to find it.
Anyone here know what weekend the event will be?
Thank you all!
:)

Take a look at the USNA calendars for this year. Note when fall 2018 classes started, when Reform of the Brigade was, then work backwards to find PPW. It will likely be the same relative position next year WRT Fall 2019 class start dates and Reform.

The PS schedule won’t come out until late winter/spring 2019.

Major events USUALLY follow the pattern of previous years, but there is no guarantee.

Following on @Capt MJ, start with this pattern. This year’s PPW started exactly six weeks after R-Day (which was the last Thursday of June). PPW was also the weekend before Reform and two weekends before start of the academic year.

Class of 2022 PPW was Thursday August 9 to Sunday August 12- you don't actually get to see & be with your plebe until noon Friday till 10 pm, Saturday from after parade till 11:59 and Sunday 8am till 6pm.

Class of 2023 I-Day is June 27, 2019.
It would follow that PPW is August 8-11, 2019.

Last year, I guessed at the date around this time of year - reserved a hotel - and got lucky. :)

The secret to guessing (not really a secret, per se) is that PPW typically happens about 44 days into Plebe Summer.

When you take them back that Sunday, they have Christmas music blaring all over Bancroft Hall (to further impress upon the Plebes that they won't see their parents until Christmas). My DS thought it was awesome.

Some Plebes get home for T-Day, but if they live on the Left Coast, it's a trick (and expensive) to get out there and back in the time allotted.
If Plebes live within a few hours driving distance, sometimes they can hitch a ride with a Firstie home, if they happen to make friends with a Firstie who has a car on the Yard, and if they live near where the Plebe is going. A lot of "ifs" there, though!

"I" Day?

That would be "Hudson High". ;)
