I just finished the required number of forms (3/5) on my USAFA application to be eligible for a DoDMERB Exam. Can someone please tell me how long they will take to reach out and then schedule an exam for me? In fact, can someone please provide a brief explanation of the medical process because it's a little confusing to me?

They won't schedule an exam for you, they will give you instructions to schedule your own exams (eye and medical) and then you will input the dates and times of those exams.
Read through all of the DODMET and DODMERB frequently asked questions to learn how the process works.

Here is the basic process:
1. Complete necessary USAFA forms
2. Create a DODMERB and DODMETS account
3. Complete the questionnaire in DODMETS
4. Schedule your exams (they'll give the locations)
5. Go and complete the exams
6. Check DODMERB for results (takes a week or two normally0

I had some issues going through it at first, it's not a very clear process. I'd say to get it done as soon as you can so you don't have to worry about it

Also if you have any more questions, post it in the DODMERB forum and I’m sure that Mr. Mullen would be willing to help answer them. He is the Deputy Chief of DODMERB who generously gives his personal time to assist applicants who have questions on the process.

DODMERB also has a Questions on the Process document on their website and that covers FAQs pretty well.

You can not create a DODMETS account until you get the email notification. Check spam. You will not be directed to create the DODMERB account until DODMETS forwards completed exam information to them.

Excuse me sir, I have a question.
I checked out the frequently asked questions and it wasn't one there/ I need to get my eyes checked if it is.

I completed my tests and they're shown as processed on the website ( DODMERB). However my application on USAFA website says that they have not received anything medical wise. I have nothing that would need a waiver. Would medical send it over to USAFA or do I need to call and ask them to? It may sound dumb but it's nearing a month since my tests were marked green.

Thank you for your time sir.

1. send me an email: lawrence.e.mullen.civ@mail.mil; provide complete name and last 4 SSN; paste your posting above to your email
2. Google "DoDMERB;" Hot "Questions on the Process" on the left side of the home page:wiggle:

Will answer very late tonight :wiggle:

Hello, I just scheduled my medical exam. I have enough time to finish it before the deadline right if everything goes correct?

I would also suggest - utilizing the search feature FIRST and look for key words about your question before just posting a question. Most questions are not "new" and have been asked and answered in the past.

Given the information you've provided me, Yes:wiggle:
Hello, so apparently the doctor at my location keeps rescheduling and the appointment has gone from December 23rd to January 13th. Will that be too late for everything to process or is there going to be enough time? Please let me know.

So, there is a deadline...not tied to Admissions deadlines for other things, but it varies with Academy and applicant status at the time

It's like soldiers that used to ask me what the max weight was? I'd tell them, if you have to ask...you need to lose some weight:wiggle:
