Early Action Admission

I dont think it really gives a clear message about anything b/c mine changed on 12/3 and i have yet to receive anything from USCGA. I am still waitng for it to say qualified b/c I had to redo a test for my Dodmerb. Stupid urinalisys LOL

my dodmerb thing says pending waiver submission/review. does anyone know when this will change?

probly whne they issue one in like 6 months. Just a guess.

Idk. Why dont you email the Dodmerb guy? I have heard he is very helpful:thumb:

yea that guy has already helped me. they said its the academies that handle the waivers, not dodmerb

then that is all u can do I guess. Just the waiting game is left.

Thanks Objee

Final count for EA will be 768 applicants...so far we have only mailed 278 notification letters. Another 200-225 are scheduled for Thursday and the remainder will go out next Tuesday/Wednesday to arrive prior to 12/24.

So is based on historical records is that a higher, lower or similar number of EA applicants as previous years?

What percentage of those EA will get appointments, deferral or no thanks yous?

Or how many positions will you fill?

How many are AIM grads?

So, so far what does the CGA think of their "new way this year" to send out letters? does this work better for you (sending letters out weekly?) or was the previous way easier for everyone?

Just curious.............. WOW I asked a lot of questions :)

HEY. My status has FINALLY changed to qualified. IT only took a loonngg time to do it.

sorry stupid question

I was late getting started on the DODMERB exams due to lost mail so my optometric exam is friday and my other 2 are the following fri.... does anyone know if this will affect my EA app?

Ok everyone, if I understand correctly, we can relax for the next few days and not run to the mailbox. The notifications mailed out Thursday (tomorrow) won't be received until early next week; then another week before the next batch...........aawwh! Ok, I am going to calm down and not stalk the mailbox until next Monday and Tuesday. Thinking about you all....good luck!!!

but mail sent on the 16-17th might not make it to the West coast by the
24th :frown: after all the mailcarriers keep complaining about this time of year... Ohhhh that will be horrible.....
