I'm actually interested in the ECP and applying for the scholarship through the 4 year ROTC application. I know my stats are VERY LOW, but do you guys think these are good enough for the 2 year scholarship? I just want some comments.

3.7 gpa
1060 SAT
EC: I have been in clubs and volunteer work like Key Club International
PFA: I have not done it yet but I can do
40pu
45su
7:30min mile
I am about to do the PFA and the interview soon.

Even if you don't get an ECP scholarship thru the national application process, contact one of the MJC's directly and you might be offered a scholarship thru them directly.

I have started applying for New Mexico Military Institute and about to finish. I just hope to have more option since some have received the Ike Skelton from the 4 year application.

if, on your ROTC scholarship application, you choose a MJC, they will undoubtedly offer you an Ike Skelton ECP scholarship offer before they give out a 3/4 year scholarship.

My son, mistakenly, chose a MJC on his app and that is all they offered him on the first board. He already had a "campus based" scholarship from VF. The Ike Skelton is the offer for any of the 4 MJC's.

Your scores compare similarly to his. He is pretty much constantly contacted by NMMI and Marion besides VF. Just be aware of the hurdles that you may face moving forward with accessions and SMP for NG/Reserves as well, if you want AD.

If you accept the Ike Skelton Scholarship, it will be less of a hurdle and more of a road block if you're are at all interested in Active Duty. Make sure you ask a lot of questions and do the research.

Thank you all for the replies. I have been constantly researching about the ECP pathway. I am also interested in going for the National Gaurd. I have a brother who has a master's degree and has been in the reserves. With these, he can be in the Army and still have a civilian job. I don't really see the reserve as a setback. My goal is simply to serve and continue my education.

Your stats seem okay but I didn't get an ECP in the first board despite having my "type of stats". GPA 3.6 UW, 26 ACT, 64 push-ups, 49 situps, 6:45 mile, President of my school, Boys State, 500+ hr of community service and I still didn't get one. I was shocked not going to lie.

That is surprising and concerning for me, knowing that yours are better than mine. Did you check for the ECP and put down JMC schools in the application? If you are really interested, I think you have a high chance if you apply to the JMC schools directly. For me, I know my stats are not competitive, that is why I like to have different plans. So far, that is what I'm trying, both applying for the scholarship and NMMI
I already got in Marion and yes, I did check it off

I sure you can still try for the second board right?

By the way, does Marion have scholarship you can apply for? I know schools like NMMI have varities of different scholarships in their campus and those are not as competitive.
You can apply for the same ECP scholarship within the school

Well, hopefully hope we get offers in the second board. You'll probably more likely to get one.
Hope so!!

Hope you don't mind if I ask, but do you qualify for FAFSA? This is just a suggestion. If you don't any money or scholarship to pay for tuition, I think you can at least use financial aid. Then when you commission, you get more assistance from the Army or National Gaurd when you move to a university. I am not entirely sure if one can do this. I am about to do some more research. So if you know more about this, just correct me.
