Looking for any girlfriend of Class of 2022 Candidates that would like to make a group chat to get to know each other and build a support group!
I may be out of place but I feel the need to respond here. This maybe a legitimate post, but DO NOT share your personal info especially if you are going to let people know your significant other is away. You could be an easy target of opportunity or even criminal intent. Don’t do it even if it is from a regular poster because you never know who/who else may get your info, let alone someone who just made an account today!Looking for any girlfriend of Class of 2022 Candidates that would like to make a group chat to get to know each other and build a support group!

Opinions differ on this topic. Some relationships do last through four years at Kings Point. It depends on the maturity and commitment of both people. The first year is the hardest, but if you make it through plebe year, it gets easier. If you live close you will be able to attend lots of events with your Kings Pointer. Many girlfriends attend Parents Weekend with the family. Then there is Winter Ball which is always lovely. And Ring Dance is really special if you have someone to share it with. Many weddings happen right after graduation, some with long-time girlfriends or boyfriends, so it is definitely possible to keep a long distance relationship alive. I agree that having a support group is a good idea. There will be times when you will be frustrated with the lack of communication from your Kings Pointer, and having someone to share that with can help get you through the difficult times. Good luck!
Last year there was a closed group on Facebook. You might try creating one yourself. I would have your boyfriends parents put it out there on the Parents of 2022 page. Your boyfriend might also be able to put the word out on the Class of 2022 page after indoc is over.Opinions differ on this topic. Some relationships do last through four years at Kings Point. Where can I find that support group with other significant others?

This is the hard truth. I had many classmates enter with girlfriends, but only one still had the same one at graduation.I would end the relationship. KP is almost a full year long grind every year for 4 years. I got home again for awhile after a solid year. It's not only time but all of your energy is sort of in KP work. Why would you want a long distance or basically virtual boyfriend because he won't be able to see you with any kind of regularity over the next 4 years... If he makes it.

Can plebes bring boyfriends from out of state for Winter Ball? I’m not familiar with rules on people visiting.Opinions differ on this topic. Can you elaborate a bit on what you mean by "Winter Ball"? Do you perhaps mean the All Academies Winter Ball which is typically held during winter break? Can plebes bring boyfriends from out of state for Winter Ball? I’m not familiar with rules on people visiting.

Yes they can. I believe you are referring to the winter ball this Friday. It was put together somewhat last minute. Many Plebes, myself including are bringing dates up from out of state.
