How many people get kicked out on R-day?

In all fairness to the plebes, they were told to use the carts, ya? So not using one would haven been an attention-getter.
They should have protested, and said, "I'm an American soldier, and we don't use wheeled carts to tote our flight bags around". Maybe the cadre was looking to see which one of them had the fortitude to refuse, so they could identify a leader in the bunch.

Before anyone gets too upset with me, I am just busting chops. I just can't resist. But I'll try harder.

I will put all my jokes on a little wheeled cart, like a sailor does, and tote them away.

Am I in trouble on R day if I'm appx 5 lbs overweight? I'm well within the body fat percentage though.

With r day being tomorrow....relax and focus on what you can control....congrats

I did not hear about the carts from my brothers some how. Yum yum yum. They will never live this down.

Drug test results probably won't come up for about 2 weeks. Then you will see some drop.
R-Day, hopefully only about 6 or so who really don't want to be there.

There may have been some kicked out, but I did not hear of any. Normally there are issues such as CCs who have recently been injured. They are usually offered spots at MAPS where it is easier to do rehab or given a medical leave and an LOA for the following year.

Almost everyone who appears for R-day knows what to expect and is pretty prepared. Most are in tremendous shape, and mentally tough. And, all of them distinguish themselves from their Naval Academy Plebe counterparts, by carrying their own bags (while the new USNA Mids are given cute wheeled carts so they don't have to carry those yucky bags of silly military stuff).

My League Cadets, all 60 lbs of them hoist their little seabags up and march into their recruit training. DD was wondering why they had carts, and would they always have carts, and could she respectfully decline her cart if given one?
Honey you go ahead and tell that detailer you don't want a rolling cart...LOL

I doubt the carts are done again (one can only hope). And they were only used for part of the day. Once back at Bancroft they spent the day lugging it around. I still face palm seeing the pictures.

Hoops, this to shall pass. At least no Admirals at Annapolis took a Hollywood shower under the sprinklers while standing at attention in Service Dress on the parade grounds. Wonder if the grounds maintenance guy got to use a cart to haul his stuff off post or did he have to tote it? [emoji3]

That is when I think, 'you had one job!' It was probably so hot the sprinklers probably felt good. Besides West Point's ability to pull off a decent spirit spot is lacking to say the least... besides... two words... pillow fight.

That is true about Army not being able to match what Navy does with the spirit videos; but the West Point kids don't have all the "song and dance" or drama backgrounds that the USNA kids have. Yacht club kids always do that kind of stuff better. But the USMA kids make up for that in the boxing ring. (Well, when Navy is willing to fight).

Well, if 7 national championships in the last 8 years is dominant, then I guess....

But I get your point brother; and USAFA hasn't ever dodged USMA on the biggest rivalry week in sports, like another school we both know. (I will not name that school right now out of compassion, as the school is still trying to recover from the humiliation of a "cartgate" scandal).
