How much does athletics play a part in admission?

I've been interested in applying at USAFA, but I don't play any sports other than my school's rifle team (I have lettered in rifle). I just don't have the time to join another sport. Being appointed would be absolutely amazing, and I'm wondering if I can make up for this with my CFA scores. Athletics is an important part of life at a service academy and I still have another year before I need to take the CFA. If i'm below the averages for females right now, can I get pass them by then? Can I make up for my lack of school sports by scoring higher on the CFA?

Additional Question: I know that sports at a SA isn't is about showing team work and leadership, not just athleticism. I am an elected officer in my schools Technology Student Association, I coach kids on my rifle team and have received the student coach of the year award. I am also captain of our school's robotics team, so I have held positions of leadership. How can I show teamwork and leadership on my application?
