I see an ultimate packing list and things to get in order for West Point and Air Force, but I don't see it for the Naval Academy. I am sure it is out there somewhere but I can't find it. Can someone post one or give the link to one already posted? Thanks

Do you have an offer of appointment to these three?

The instructions are given when you accept the offers. And they give you plenty of time to get everything done/packed.

I think this thread has some info:

The reality is that reporting to USNA is the easiest thing ever, as far as reporting. Literally all you must have is your ID, paperwork, and a good attitude (as mentioned, check your PTR packet). Everything from shoes to underwear to toothbrushes to Tylenol to stamps will be issued to you.

For convenience, it’s suggested to wear in broken in tennis shoes (so getting a good running shoe broken in is an idea). So you don’t get blisters from the newly issued ones.

It’s actually that easy. But your paperwork will talk about this, as mentioned.

Here is a picture of what’s been issued in the past. The ‘plebe box’. As you can see, USNA takes care of every need 😬

As said, less is more on I-Day. In my daughter's opinion, you will hear a lot about the sneakers, she liked the ones issued to her. My daughter wanted underwear, protein bars, mints, little storage boxes, and nutter butters. I think the pre-written questions to answer were a big help for us as parents for her to write to us with. Also, pictures for her room of family and friends.

Are you allowed to wear your own running shoes over plebe summer?

I would buy a pair of conservative (i.e. not bright colors) from a running store (they will actually fit you) and run in them starting in the late Spring.

To OP: I'd pack light. You will get issued everything. If anything, I would maybe bring some of your own underwear.

Women should bring sports bras. You’ll be issued some, but they might not fit right or be as comfortable as those you purchase. White or nude color only for PS. Other colors will show through your wet white T-shirt.

As others have said, less is more. Paperwork, phone, charger, wallet. Compression shorts and sports bras, if so inclined. As for your own running shoes: absolutely, if you can swing it.

Go to a reputable running store with knowledgeable people. Have them check your gait and determine your amount of pronation. Then follow their reco for the right pair of shoes. Forget color or design or brand -- this is all about comfortable efficiency. Buy a pair and run in them prior to plebe summer. Bring two pairs if you can. You won't regret it.

+4 on this ^^^^ She took 4 and asked more to be sent. They get pretty grungy from overuse.

My daughter ran a lot for all her sports in HS. We made sure she had good, well-fitted shoes recommended by a local running store. She ended up using what was issued. LOL.

You can only accept an offer of appointment from one SA at a time. I would first decide which one that is going to be (assuming you have multiple offers) and then focus your attention there. Each SA could provide different input on what you are asked to bring so I don't see any point in trying to develop one generic list. Follow the instructions given on this year's PTR list as others have mentioned.

For your running shoes, I recommend bright colors! Makes it easier for your mom and dad to find you in Where’s Waldo Pics from PT!

Are neon pink or yellow shoes allowed? Trying to answer my own question - USNA prolly allows, but detailers might take a dim view of them, with predictable consequences... so not recommended.

Great for Mom and Dad but not so good for the Mid. Believe me, the Mid wants to be INVISIBLE. I know that you want to see
YOUR kid, believe me, I've been there as a USNA parent but I was also a Mid and I knew/know that the best thing for a plebe is
to slid into the mob of classmates so as to get minimal "attention" (harassment) from detailers.
