On my island:
English muffin bread
Salted butter (no other kind in our house)
crispy oven baked bacon, embarrassing quantity
fig jam (the kind in the little jar you use with a cheese tray)
good quality swiss, several slices
thinly shaved red onion, like see through thin
tomato, given to the dog, I dislike tomatoes
fresh basil

Glass of ice cold chardonnay, or cab if it's after 6 pm

If they can turn vegetables into a burger, then they can certainly turn chicken into bacon! Is there anything that can't be made from chicken?
 
If the bacon thread goes quiet, I suspect we are quite without hope.

But welcome! Please add to it, and avoid the wrath of the OP, who watches carefully for non-mentions of bacon.

For those who responded to my “does bacon belong on pizza” post, tonight we are trying a white pizza with bacon, fresh garlic and basil, with red pepper flakes to add at table. I am trying the refrigerated pizza dough in the can, to add to the adventure.

This is a bacon-filled oasis to visit after combing through the forums and reading about various topics and worried posters.
 
Did you get thee to Costco or Sams and procure a bag of pre-cooked-crumbled-food-of-the-Gods?
I buy three (3) bags at a time. Running out of bacon is not an option at the THP compound.
 
Not yet. I feel that is the next step down the road to full bacon addiction. I’d be sprinkling it on raisin bread toast in the AM. Eating it out of the bag. Popping them with my daily meds. Taking a little baggie in my handbag in case I needed a hit. Hiding the bag from DH... I feel the pull of the slippery slope.
 
DS 1 loves bacon. DS 2 hates bacon. DS 1 is an introvert. DS 2 is an extrovert. DS 1 has no interest in the military. DS 2 is anxious to serve. Both of my sons could not be more different. Gonna buy some more bacon for me and #1 on the way home tonight. More for me and #1!
 
For devotees of the Iron Rooster in Annapolis, they seem to be completely on board with their holiday promotion, “Give the gift of bacon.”

It has been rainy, foggy and cold here for 2 days, which is rare. Felt the need to make homemade rustic cream of potato soup with BACON and of course bacon garnish with sharp cheddar and scallions. Found a new recipe for scallion cheddar scones, with BACON butter. Dinner was amazing.

That is an outstanding use of bacon in a single meal. Do you like the pizza stone? I use mine all of the time. It started out the color of yours, but is pretty much completely black, now.

High praise from you! Thank you. Yes, I love it. I use it for bread a lot. Found a recipe for work night limited kneading required bread and I have like the texture it gives the crust. And of course, you can slather the hot bread with bacon butter or jam. :)
 
What about bacon coffee? That might be a hard NO...anyone? Did I find the one thing bacon does not go with??

Did you not see the coffe glazed bacon recipe link I posted? Not exactly bacon coffee, but they are definitely dating in the glazed recipe.
