Per Merriam-Webster, a whim is:
(Noun) A capricious or eccentric and often sudden idea or turn of the mind.

Methinks if we had Porquemada of the Bacon Inquisition here, there would be accusations of heresy.

The SABF membership card is up for review in the case of @kinnem. Not just for the "whim" remark but for the gaff of not lumping bacon in with "essentials". We can send counselors (AKA: "Baconators") to your location, if you desire. ;)

I'm good as I'm starting weekly therapy sessions with my brother-in-law... the pig farmer. He'll quickly have me on the straight and narrow. ☺

I feel like we are all at a bar somewhere after a successful operation, just talking smack, clinking glasses and eating bacon sliders.

Preferably this one, an all-time favorite.

This is one of the deck pendants from CVN-71, used as a foot rest at the I-bar. They serve bacon there, I can confirm.
 
And the Bacon Cup goes to the Bacon Lord himself!

There are plenty of great photos out there of the I Bar, so named because it is in Building I, the BOQ. There are signs everywhere saying “don’t touch the planes or you buy the bar a round,” “don’t put your phone on the bar or....”
