Hello!

I am a current student at Northwestern Preparatory School. I am here under a Falcon Foundation Scholarship and if you have any questions about my experience or tips so far, please ask and I will be happy to help. I have been here since September so it has been quite some time and I am nearly a week away from finishing. I will answer the questions to the best of my ability without giving away too much information.

Did you excel today?

Jk, hope you enjoyed it. NWP served me well now that I'm here

Every single day. 1 more week, 4 more vocab sets, and can't wait to leave, but also going to miss it dearly.
Do not miss those vocab tests lol. However you do use the skill here. Especially during basic

Hey I'm also a falcon attending MMI, what do feel is the biggest difference of going to a non-military prep school.

The only things I would say that is non-military are just uniforms and drills, however, a good amount of people have experience in both being in Civil Air Patrol, JROTC, or Sea Cadets in which I did CAP and JRTOC.

I would say what makes NWP stand out is its USAFA/college readiness. NWP graduates tend to do better because NWP is more college-level when it comes to classes. Also, the habits formed here are drilled into us, for example, memorization, dorm readiness, teamwork, and an overall work ethic help may be successful at the academy.

Plus, doing college courses over the second semester (we end in December) helps validate/test out of classes upon entering BCT making room for other things. I would say these are the reasons why NWP by far gets more students (my class was composed of half of all the Falcons in the country) and is by far, IMO, the best prep school.

Vocab tests at NWP...

"Echelon: A step-like formation of troops or planes; a subdivision of an organization."

Now, WHY after...45 years do I still remember that?

RIP Jim Hoiby...
