NY NOMINATION THREAD 2016

Received denial letter on Christmas Eve from Gillibrand and Chuck didn't have the social grace to even send a denial letter.
 
Hi all quick question, I interviewed with both Gillibrand and Schumer's offices, do both offices inform you if you were not selected for a nomination? Thank you.

Congratulations to your DS. You only need one nomination but 2 is outstanding! It gives USAFA options as to who to charge the nomination to if he gets an appointment. Last year Senator Gillibrand had nominations in the 1st Dist. Hamptons and also 2nd Dist. Oyster Bay. Her nominations are usually money towns. Again Congratulations! Best Of Luck!

Thank you. He is pretty excited. I can guarantee you that our town is far from a money town.

No, sorry, not in that district. Just realized my earlier post had wrong district number
 
Congrats to all. Has anyone heard back from Senator Schumer? If you have yet to hear from him (which it seems most have) can you please say something once you get a response. Thank you.
 
If I remember correctly, last year Senator Gillibrand's denial after the interview came via email between Christmas and New Year's and Senator Schumer's nomination just appeared on or around Jan 29th on the portal. It was on or just before the last day before it was due at the academy. A letter in the mail from Senator Schumer confirming the nomination arrived on 2/1/16 via USPS.
 
I have not heard news from Gillibrand at all (since the interview), does this most likely indicate that I did not receive the nomination? Thanks.

Can't speak for the senator, but my DD did get a nom from her, and got the news before xmas.

The letter from my congressman was just a general letter telling him that he has the nomination and inviting him to a reception. Looks like a fill-the-name in here form letter. With Gillibrand, her website says the notification is by letter. We did not receive a letter , just a phone call and that was just before Christmas. The gentleman who called just said that they liked the way he interviewed and wanted to let him know he was being given a nomination. No mention of principal or anything. Still waiting for a letter ( or portal update) to make it real. My son was not home when the call came so I spoke to the gentleman. I had a bad cold and laryngitis so I could hardly talk.
 
Has anyone gotten a nomination for USMA from Senator Gillibrand. I interviewed, and have received neither a denial letter or nomination. Good luck to everyone remaining.
 
Our NY Senators don't do Principal nominations.
 
Those with NY noms, have any of yours been posted to your portal yet? just curious, since my DD's has not yet appeared in her portal.

No, momx3. Nothing posted to the Portal yet for my son. Did anyone get a letter from Gillibrand or does her office just do phone calls?
