Today was one of the first times that going to Navy this summer felt "real" to me as an incoming plebe. Getting my appointment and all the hoorah after was amazing, but I don't think it set in that I'll be attending THE naval academy until today. Our school had our annual girls flag football tournament and, to the dismay of the "coaches", I resigned myself to being water girl rather than the usual position of qb. Telling people that "if I get hurt, I can't go to school in a month," seemed to explain my reasoning

. But watching the graduation and commissioning this morning and getting ready for my own graduation tomorrow made this whole experience feel a lot more real and I couldn't be more excited for the journey. Let's go 27!
