Question about PLC

I know that this is unlikely, but is it possible for a person to already be enlisted in the military, and go through PLC? Let's say someone is working on their degree stateside and is able to take enough leave to enroll in the 6 week training routines in the summer. Is this allowed? Additionally, would the tuition assistance provided to normal college students through this route to commissioning be available to enlisted? If this very hypothetical situation is possible, would it be open to enlisted Navy sailors? I know that there are other routes to commissioning, but I believe that if possible, that this would be one of the best for me, if at all possible. If not, then I completely understand.

I’m sure the smarter members here will have your answers so I’ll put my response in the form of questions.

Can your really be approved for six weeks of leave in one block? What about PLC seniors? That’s another six weeks.

Your tuition assistance question confuses me.

To go from enlisted to an officer accession program requires a request, a package submission, and getting picked for said program. Can one go from navy enlisted to Marine officer? I can’t remember his name and will look him up later, but years ago a Corpsman became a Marine officer and distinguished himself in combat. I don’t remember how he got to commissioning but would imagine it was not by the scenario you describe.

I doubt you'll get an authoritative answer here as yours is an odd situation. I tend to agree with the Doc myself but its just reasonable guesswork. Why not discuss with your chain of command?

Looking at the OP’s five other posts it appears that research for a book is in progress instead of inquiries as to joining the military.
