Bible, yes. Picture, technically no.

Is all that stuff just stored until we can go home for the first time or are they given back before that with the expectation that they will be sent home?
My squad was given there items back the Friday before parent's weekend, so i just sent it home with my family. You could just give them to your 3* coach if you're daring enough to try wearing them around in C-springs.
I may be wrong, but after Beast I don't think they really care if you have civvies in your room, but you're just not allowed to wear them.
I may be wrong, but after Beast I don't think they really care if you have civvies in your room, but you're just not allowed to wear them. I know my son had a lot of different civvies outfits and when I met up with him at the TCU game, I'd brought him some more (and we did at PW as well). Some of that may be because in D&B they were sometimes allowed to wear civvies on trips (in Las Vegas, etc.). And I know for ski club they were allowed to ski in civvies and when they rented hotels/condos, etc. while on the ski trips they certainly wore civvies the entire time. And I know he had it all in his overhead during the year and no one cared. After recognition the upperclass had neatly folded them all for the display on his bed (I guess to change right into that evening! ). I also know a lot of people wore them at their sponsors' houses (but obviously not if they went into COS itself with the sponsor) so that would be a place to leave the civvies once you get them back after Beast.
I wouldn't bet on this; it is really squad dependent (like many other things at USAFA). In my squad, we were warned that we could NOT have ANY civies in our rooms. If we had civies for club activities, skiing, etc we had to keep them in our coach's room or find another place for them. My whole squad got extra training because they found one person's I-day clothes in his drawer during an inspection.
I know this sounds stupid, but what about backpacks? I'm trying to fit everything I need for BCT into a backpack, and I'm wondering what the specs are. I really need a new one anyway so do we get issued backpacks or should I go ahead and buy a black one (ie North Face or Jansport)?
