USAFA Waiting Thread C/O 2027

Congrats! Still waiting for a decision here. Thought the hard part would be getting a waiver but waiting is harder!

Same with me and the state of Virginia. I haven't heard anything from people there for USAFA but USMAPS appointed me a few months ago. USAFA is the dream and I'm still holding onto hope as this is my third time applying while West Point is the fallback school.
 
Lots of chatter on the USNA side….TWEs and their waitlist(which I know AF doesn’t do) notifications today. Seems like USAFA is typically slower or am I wrong on that? Of course none of it matters I’m just killing time lol

dd got his unselected notice from USNA today, your timing is right on
 
Keeping the hope alive if you look at the past several years of appointments reported. Totals were all reported by mid-May with an average of 180 over the five years. GO FALCONS!!!

I'm sorry if I ask a repeated question, however for clarification, are most decisions sent out by April 21st for USAFA or just the acceptances. I'm am just a little stressed as I have yet to hear from them. Thanks again for your help!

You'll hear something from them by the 24th is what admissions said. It could be an acceptance letter, a TWE, waitlist, or prep school/ffs. All they said was you would hear something. I called them today and they said they sent out a bunch of TWE's today so if you didn't get one you are still in the running so do not lose hope. I have a feeling they will have a huge batch of appointments and twe's tomorrow and next week. The only thing you can do at this point is wait and hope. It's all up to them.

Well that’s nerve racking. I wonder when they were sent. My DD only check her portal in the morning. Thanks for the info though and hang in there everyone!!

When you say TWE’s, does this mean the actual mailing or a portal change? Right now my DS’s portal is still the same, 100% complete and all check marks.
Also, is Auburn a possibility for you (Wareagle24)? Great school…

Up until this post, I had continuously and repeatedly read April 21, including directly from Admissions to my son back in February. So has it been bumped to the 24th now, or was that by chance a typo?

hmm are you sure this is the case? No one on the forum for USAFA section has mentioned recieving a TWE

Both but the portal change will come first. Auburn is plan b at the moment. War Eagle!

Lady at admissions told me the 24th. Either way, most will have already heard before then.
 
Sent out- Are we thinking sent out on the portal? US Mail? Goodness let it be portal!
No changes on my DD's! Waiting, waiting, 📫
