USNA 2026 Waiting and.… Waiting

Thank you all.. I’m so happy I found this thread as my DS is in CPR too. I wanted to ask if anyone else was waiting medical waiver as well.. or will both of those decisions happen at the same time?
Welcome to the waiting group 😊
We are just CPR!
On a side note, is their a history of late appointments after the big waitlist wave goes out? Or are we mostly waiting for potential turn-down, naps or prep schools (or subsequent waitlists?). Obviously I know the latter are all technically on the table but are appointments ever handed out this late in the game to the CPR/non-waitlist?

My DS is CPR as of this week but he’s a civilian prep student. All civ prep and Foundation packets went to the board earlier this week.

So this may be a stupid question, but at the point is it better to be CPR or waitlisted?

Got my twe. Going to army rotc now and med school. I know that someone here was more qualified than me and got this opportunity, and I wish them and everyone else good luck on their journey :)
If you got AROTC and med school you are well qualified too. The Academies have very limited spaces. Tons of excellent candidates don't get a spot. Best of luck to you o AROTC and med school

I just went to pick up my moms wedding ring from a jeweler that’s repairing it. That the fire department had to cut it off her finger due to swelling from a fall. She never takes it off. My dad passed away and she touches it when we speak of him. I went into the small local jewelry story, kind of upset. My call wasn’t returned. It was promised last week. Bc this week is moms birthday and I want to surprise her.

I ate a little humble pie, when they tried to accommodate if I could return in a little later. The store owner has Covid and she is very ill. Staff is trying to manage with out her (she is the artist). And they are short staffed to boot.

There are still issues out there that are affecting things. This was a prime example. The “promised by date” will pass for this ring. But there is a reason. And it’s fine.

USNA will get their stuff out as soon as they can.
That’s going to be a nice surprise, even if a little late. Coincidentally I just picked up my wedding ring from the jewelry store, somehow it broke a few weeks ago and I haven’t taken it out for 19 years. Hugs

You'll be brilliant in that position! They'll be lucky to have you.

My DS received the TWE this morning. Moving on to a fantastic plan B with NROTC at Texas A&M. We've connected with a few other future aggies on here. Please reach out if that's your plan B. He's looking forward to making connections before August.

Good luck to everyone else still waiting! Wishing all those the best on plan B or C or D...
