Think I can pass the USNA CFA with the following scores? I am a male.

BB Throw: 67 ft
Pull-ups: 9
Shuttle: 9.1 seconds
Sit-ups: 72
Push-ups: 54
Mile: 6:43

Thanks.

Also (sorry if this has been answered a million times before) but if I submit my CFA scores and don't get any message from USNA indicating I failed, should I be fine?

Generally, unless a person does super well or super poor, is the CFA just something that admissions checks to see if the person passed and then they move on to his/her leadership/academics? (I know, admissions is a lot more complex than this).

And if I already submitted and passed the CFA, is there any scenario where it would be worth it (and not frowned upon) to try retake it if I thought I could do better?

The CFA is a very important piece of your package. You are competing against others for an appointment. No they don’t ‘just check if you pass’...they look at your fitness level along with the rest of you package, assigning you a number. Which is your score. Which is used in the HIGHLY COMPETITIVE appointment process. You have to score the touchdown. Not just walk away at the goal line, giving up points. Moral, mental, physical is their mantra. Fitness is very important, beyond a CFA.

There is no place on your package where you shouldn’t present your BEST self. The BEST you can do. Including your CFA. Yes they accept resubmits. Check out their website for information about applying. Not sure if you are an active applicant, or inquiring for the future. Also the tabbed info at the top of each forum (I see you are a new member).

Looks like passing scores to me. Keep working and if you have significant improvement take it over. But, consider whether there are other more heavily weighted areas where you should be focusing your time.

Your scores seem pretty ordinary and probably not borderline. I doubt admissions will frown on efforts to improve as long as you stay strong on other measurable.

OP's scores will be passing. The CFA has some importance but is not considered in a vacuum. If the candidate is involved in sports, especially varsity sports (or the equivalent of a non-school sport), that helps and makes the CFA somewhat less important. If the candidate is not active in sports, the CFA takes on greater importance b/c it's the only objective measure of physical fitness.

It is rare for a passing CFA to make or break an application. So, if the OP is active in sports, I'd stick with the current scores and focus your time on other things such as improving SAT scores (if yours need improvement). I don't think a few more pull-ups or sit-ups are going to make a huge difference in the OP's application.

+1 to '85. Yes, CFA is important; it is actually critical that you pass, and yes, if everything else was equal on the Application, perhaps the CFA has been used as a tie breaker. But as a practical matter, no two applications are the same and there are other factors that are more important than the CFA. It's pretty safe to say that a strong application with mediocre (but passing !) will prevail over a mediocre application and strong CFA. Of course, you want to put your best foot forward on every aspect of the application, but don't overthink the CFA.
