So I called the military science instructor at the school I had my interview at well before the first board date to ask her if I was "Board Ready" and she said yes. But this is what it shows...

I have already done my DoDMERB for service academies and qualified/passed and i was told u dont do DoDMERB for ROTC untill after you get a scholarship. Also its kind of contradicting since it says I've been selected for an interview, but its already been received. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

I just replied to your post in the other thread. Same status as everyone last year and it will not change until after you have been awarded a scholarship.

I wouldn't worry about the DoDMERB. I assume it shows that status since they haven't gotten to the point in the process where they would even be looking for the physical.
Don't know about the interview but expect its a mix up too since you've been verbally told you were board ready.

I remember last year we had status that didn't make sense until a decision on scholarship was made.

Your status will continue to say "You have been selected for an interview" until a scholarship is awarded, if you do not receive a scholarship the status will not change at all.

my advice is relax...you obviously didn't get an offer from the first board, and you will have to wait for the results of the second board before anything will change for you with regards to Army ROTC. Go for a run and check back with us in early January.

Good luck

now you see why an internet forum like this one is helpful. The Scholarship status website is confusing to say the least. Beyond that, the mechanics of the whole process is pretty much hidden behind tall gates, and what we know of it has only been pieced together on this forum by posters who report the experiences they've had as they occur...certain patterns emerge, and that's about as much detail as any of us will every know.

FWIW:

You will not do an ROTC DoDMERB because ROTC will accept the SA results.

Things may have changed in the past few yrs so PLEASE DO NOT READ INTO THIS...

If you check your DoDMERB, does it say AROTC? Or does it just say the SA's? They will list who has requested the DoDMERB. If it says just USMA, than AROTC hasn't requested the exam. If it states AROTC, than it means you have had movement...not implying scholarship! Implying AROTC has "touched" your file.

Again things change.

I was awarded a scholarship, but still have the "Not Received" Medical status on my portal. West Point is looking into my DODMERB and is getting their own medical board to review my file for a waiver. So I assume that after I, hopefully, receive my waiver that the status will change. On my Dodmets login page, it says it is for USMA and not AROTC
