I was notified that I did not receive an appointment from USAFA. I'll be honest, I was very disappointed.

This is due to me not being able to "receive my waiver". BUT here is the problem/question I have.

I was notified that my waiver should be processed within 15 business days back in February. I waited, and waited, and waited. My status on dodmerb remained the same, even till now, where my status says "under waiver review".

I tried to contact my USAFA counselor on April 3, 2020, but did not receive an answer. I was hoping that this was going to change as soon the April 21st hit.

But, as everyone who read the post already knows, it did not change.

I tried to contact my counselor again, but did not receive an email, UNTIL I contacted the Executive Assistant to the Director of Admissions.

Then I received an email saying from my USAFA counselor saying:
John

You did not receive a wavier because you were not selected.

So here is the question. If I did not receive a waver because I was not selected, shouldn't I have been notified early on that my waiver was denied????

Please let me know what you all think about this situation.

In your other post you said you just got the email yesterday saying that you weren’t selected. If you just got that yesterday, how much earlier do you think they could have notified you?

You might find it useful to go back and review the Process menu item on the DODMERB website, particularly paragraph 12.

Perhaps a waiver was not pursued because you were already in the “likely non-select” pile.

Perhaps Mr. Mullen can help clear the air. That “under waiver review” standing seems to cause a lot of misinterpretation. See his FAST Sticky at the top of the DODMERB forum.
@MullenLE

I recognize this is a difficult time. Do your best to focus on your alternate plans, re-grouping and if you want to be an AF officer, going after it, which may or may not include re-application.
