Any baseball fans here? Braves vs. Astros in the 117th World Series. Coverage starts at 8 p.m. Tuesday night on Fox with Joe Buck on the mic. I'm a life-long Braves fan and am happy to see them back after a 20 year drought. I think the Braves have overcome their playoff woes and will take the Astros to seven games. I predict a Braves win but will put no money on that.

Went to high school in the Bronx, so I was rooting against the Red Sox. Have lived in the Bay Area for 30 years, so I despise the Dodgers. Astros are a tough team to root for....I am all in on the Braves and Freddie!

If you aren't cheating, you aren't trying.

Lifelong Dodgers fan here.....
My second favorite team is normally anyone playing against the Giants.

In 2017/2018, that changed: anyone EXCEPT for the Houston Asterisks.

Go BRAVES!!!!!

Sorry - but anything you may have read about baseball starting with the Yankees loss to Boston in the AL wild card game was obviously fake news.

I am a Rays fan. Disappointed by their early exit after a great regular season. Of all sports, Baseball is my least favorite to watch after my team has been eliminated. If there is a hockey, basketball or football game on, that's what I will be watching. I predict VERY low ratings for this World Series. The ratings for all sports have been down, but this will likely be a very low-rated World Series. Buy hey, if it's your thing, enjoy it by all means.

I have a very convoluted way of supporting the Braves (this year) . I have lived in Los Angeles since 1977. However, I am a NY Mets fan as I was raised in Queens. I lived in Miami in the early 70s and the only baseball they showed there was Brave' Baseball. Anyway, I always support the team playing the Dodgers. Always have, always will. I went to two World Series games in high school (Dodgers vs Yankees) and supported the Yankees which left a bad taste in my mouth because I am a Mets fan. Why am i supporting the Braves, against Houston and the Dodgers (besides always rooting against the Dodgers? Because my son went to high school with Max Fried and was on the same baseball team except Fried was Varsity and my son was Jr. Varsity although they all practiced together. So there you go, i am rooting for the Braves even though I am a 100% Mets fan although i couldn't tell you one person playing this year.

There were a few ex-Dodgers that I was rooting for in the playoffs.
  • Kike' Hernandez and Alex Verdugo until the Red Sox got eliminated.
  • Joc Pederson with the Braves.
Go Joc! Beat those cheatin' Astros!

It's Joctober. I love the pearls.

I'm a Twins guy and we underperformed a little this year. But once the Rays and Brewers were out it was a lot of unlikeable over-familiar teams: BOS NYY HOU LAD etc. I was kind of looking forward to seeing if all the geezers on the Giants could hold it together thru the whole playoffs before imploding. I suppose I'll watch some of it.
