is there anyway i can find out?
You could try asking your ALO, but I doubt he will hand out that information.
is there anyway i can find out?
yeah i dont think he would reveal that, i just want to find out already its killing me
Don't fret if you haven't been accepted yet.
Hey everyone. My name is Jason and I just signed up for the forum. I signed up for the summer seminar about a week ago and haven't found out if I got accepted yet but I have been keeping in touch with my liason and he wants to interview me for the summer seminar. Is getting an interview normal? I haven't heard of anyone being interviewed for the seminar before and I'm not sure if it's a good thing
@kdc246- thank you very much. I'm relieved to hear it is not so abnormal
@Austin1- applying this late shouldn't really hurt you. They have a rolling application so they accept people throughout the whole application period. I'm sure it doesn't help you but it shouldn't kill your chances. And if it makes you feel better I only applyed last week
Okay great. I have been wanting to get into the Academy ever since I was in elementary school, so I figured Summer Seminar would be a really big step in getting there. Good luck with your application, i wish you the best.
Regarding applying late- I would say it does hurt your chances of being accepted to the summer seminar unless you're the most brilliant applicant. I applied late(this time last year) and was put on the waiting list as a result and in the end was denied. Since it is rolling admissions, every day you wait to apply hurts your chances because the spots are filling up simultaneously. I ended up going to the Naval Academy Summer Seminar and for me that was helpful because I got to at least get a glimpse of life at a service academy since it is somewhat similar. Upon saying this, I would encourage everyone who is at least interested in the least bit in another service academy, apply to their summer seminar because it is a priceless experience and works as a back up in case your first choice summer seminar doesn't work out.
