thank you @devildoc I am excited for all of the ups and downs these young leaders have on their horizons.@Heatherg21 great post. I look forward to hearing the stories from Saturday and beyond.
My God I'm old. I remeber both of those and the BK uniforms too!
What would be worse is if you didn’t remember. My God I'm old. I remeber both of those and the BK uniforms too!
Sadly, that is probably the last "good" Burger King commercial campaigns or at least one of the last. When I was in Business School approx 30 yrsMy God I'm old. I remeber both of those and the BK uniforms too!
Some Youngsters are already coming back. I believe this/next week is when they are due back at Annapolis.DD just wants to get back to the yard. Carrying the equivalent of 15 units over a 6 week term, while trying to maintain the mindset of being in school when she is stuck at home has been difficult. Plus the 3-4 hours of physical training every day has added to the load. All the while not knowing if she will actually be able to rejoin her yearmates and teammates for her 3C year.
We have considered this atypical experience of having her home a blessing, but she needs to get back to Annapolis.
Bring the Youngsters back.

or so ago, the prof pointed to several Burger King campaigns as absolute disasters from a marketing standpoint and over the years, they have managed to blunder over and over again. I hadn't thought about it in a long time until teaching a Business Communications course a few years ago and I reviewed some of their more recent campaigns and saw more disasters.
Correct. They were the worst and then made them even worse about 25 years ago.BK’s biggest single problem is that their fries are the worst in the fast food industry.

Saw the Detailers met with the Dant today. I am sure they are fired up.
Brings to mind I-Day for ‘22. The sun is blazing and the light is glaring, with the heat and rays reflecting off the plebes’ unstarched whiteworks. It’s been a very long day and many of the plebes are dozing off during the Supe’s speech. He gets to the part about Admiral Farragut’s immortal words. Says the Supe: “And Farragut yelled, ‘Damn the torpedoes!’” Immediately and in unison, the few hundred detailers, all standing smartly around the block of plebes, yells in a full-throated roar: “Full speed ahead!”
That woke up the dozers. Others snapped a bit straighter in their seats. Parents took notice. You saw — and heard — a preview of the next few weeks. Gives me chills when I think about it even now.
Appreciate the running color commentary. Stock up on pit putty for the coming days!We were just out in T-Court in Black Flag weather (90 degrees, feels like 99 with humidity) practicing the ceremony to make sure it looks crisp for y’all watching the livestream . Taking a break for lunch then running through the whole thing again, gotta lead by example!
