For those who were admitted into the Service Academies or attended them can you share your GPA, CFA score, and Stats so that everyone else can have

I think he was implying that where he was born matters for the MOC nomination. Whether a similar candidate didn’t make the cut has no bearing on whether he does.
Of course it does not have bearing on his application that my kid didn't get an appointment. In his above post he wrote "I come from Europe, do you think that in my case it will be easier? 😀" So I was responding to that, since that is something my kid and the OP have in common but personally, I don't think that being from Europe is going to "make it easier." Maybe the US embassy there can do something for his nom.

appointed to USMA in Jan
Southeast US
SAT 1350
GPA 4.5 weighted, 4 unweighted
Rank: 3/203
CFA: 75ft bball, 95 situps, 16 pull ups, 65 pushups, average ish shuttle, 6:55 mile (did horrible on the CFA, make sure you do it on a cooler day)
2 varisty sports, JROTC leadership, Military training programs over summer
#1 tip to applicants is to finish app ASAP, but make sure its not rushed and good quality
As soon as your portal opens do everything you can, contact teachers before school gets out for LOR, and make sure your counselor sends things in promtly. The reason I was able to get an LOA was likely bc I finished my app completely in like late August.
Im not the smartest or strongest guy going to USMA but hit me with any questions if you would like, Go Army!

If that's the case I would probably be the only one competing for a SA nomination, many Americans that live here are members of the military that are stationed for a few months and probably will apply for a service-connected nomination or to the state they were previously resident in, temporary students, or elderly people in vacation.

USMA is really good at locating people who they think will fit well into their environment. I think someone else on this forum coined it quite nicely: They are looking to see whether you can perform in all areas-- if you are an athlete, you better show that you have some competence in the classroom. If you are a scholar, you better show that you are at least athletic.

I wish you best in your USMA application journey! Hope to see you at the Point next year!

Good to know, thanks

I ranked 4th at the National Karate Championship and was awarded whit a certificate of merit by the major of my city, I was the leader of the long jump team, I speak Italian at an academic/Native speaker level, I speak French, Danish and I'm studying Emirati Arabic. Straight A's at school and one B+ in math, I ranked first in my class and 5th in my school, I was selected by the Italian Ministry of defense to participate at an international NATO camp and I was the leader of my Paintball and Canoe team, I participated at different University conferences and meet several ambassadors and professors. I got into one of the top Universities in my country and next year (before USMA I hope) I will attend the international relations course. Finally, I'm attending an advanced English course recognized by Cambridge University.
This all looks good. I'd say don't get too hung up on stats. As long as you are able to get a good enough score on standardized tests and pass the CFA, then it really all comes down to how you deal with the application itself. Get your items done early, especially the nomination.

It's really neat that you'd like to attend West Point from Europe. May I ask why West Point stands out so much? I didn't know there was that much international interest. Good luck to you, and I hope you receive an appointment!

This has more to do whit the career path ahead and the courses offered. West Point has very interesting courses and a very developed Social Studies department, instead, the other academies concentrate more on scientific studies and mathematics or in general subjects I’m not interested in. I informed myself on the roles of each branch of the Military, the Air force and the Navy are too “far from the ground”, I want to cooperate, whit locals, do networking, do geopolitical analyses, the marines corps are more a special force that intervenes in high risks situations, instead the Army has a more long-term strategy and careers opportunities that fit more what I’m good at and what I want to do. I already envision myself working in the Arab Gulf (U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman) a part of the world I’m already confident whit, I already visited the U.A.E. and Saudi Arabia, made friends there, studied the local culture and language. Another factor that could help are the similarities between Arab and Italian culture (sense of family, coffee culture, mentality), all things that have been very useful to connect whit locals and could become a useful tool for the Army in the future. I think that my different cultural background could enrich the community of West Point whit a new perspective, point of view, language, and obviously, West Point and the other cadets would enrich me a lot as a person. Especially during international exchanges (like the one in Italy) having someone that perfectly knows the local language, how to move in the country/city and that could give a unique perspective, would be a great advantage and experience for everyone. I consider West Point an opportunity that I absolutely don't want to waste, I would never think of a school that could adapt so well to my interests and perspective. In these long 12 years, I observed the U.S.A. only through my smartphone, Watching American YouTube Videos (DUDE Perfect, and so on...) , TV (like Dr.phil or The Daily Show With Trevor Noah), Reading Newspapers (CNBC, USA Today), listening to the radio (My favorite is Nexus Radio POP) has been part of my daily routine for years now, my house despite being in Italy looks like an American one, Both my Name and Surname don't sound Italian, I don't look like an Italian (Grey eyes, Blond Hair, 6.36 Ft Tall) and every time I show my passport where there's written Born in Kansas people think that at least one of my parents in American, and I learned the slang, mems, ( Ok, Boomer, The Crib Homie, Slides, Karen meme and so on) and all the little cultural tips and curiosity of each state + the History, Geography and so on (Read Dead Redemption 2 has been very helpful to learn the Hillbilly slang 😂😂 ) when people talk to me they think I directly came from the U.S.A., l but in reality I never lived there except for when I was born, and no one in my family has ties whit the U.S. Let say that my life is a big coincidence that made me look like someone that always lived in the U.S.😂😂

What I've heard is that international cadets will serve in their home country's military. Coming from Italy, will you serve in the Italian Army after graduation from West Point if you go or are there any routes for you to serve in the US Army?

If I am not wrong, you will have to surrender your other passport. Do check on this with someone very knowledgeable. There is a saying ‘One cannot serve 2 masters’. Think of this, if his forbids US is in conflict with the other country ( your other passport), no one should be left guessing which side you are on. As a military officer, one takes an oath.

Surface level stats:
1430 SAT (720 Eng, 710 Math)
4.45 Weighted GPA, 4.0 GPA
Top 11% of class
Lived in multiple countries ( I had to renounce 2 of my triple citizenship for the service academy lol!)
I speak multiple languages fluently
Multiple Leadership position
CAP, NHS, NEHS, AP Scholar with Distinction, Varsity Sports, Orchestra (Violin & Viola, went to Japan to play), National Championship Kendo, Gold and Bronze Volunteer Awards 500+ hours, etc
If anyone wants to ask me about anything, PM me!

Yes I already know, the only things that I would miss are the acess to free healthcare that the Italian passport gives me and the freedom of movement in all the Shenghen area, but at least the US army has an healthcare plan and I can easly request a visa for Europe. Because Italy is one of the closest allies of the US and has a warm and friendly relationship maybe I don't need to surrender my Italian passport (I know that some Comissioned Officers that have a passport of a friendly country were allowed to keep it)
