Today’s the day. I am sure a lot of parents who never thought they would so happy to see 1200 young men and women do push ups. And a lot of Plebes excited for a little R&R! Congrats on making it to this milestone! Enjoy the weekend.
Welcome back and congratulations on getting through Plebe Summer!
And it isn’t over yet!Quite an interesting summer to say the least
Enjoy. Soak it all it. I go back and forth between Plebe Parents Weekend, and Commissioning being the best experience of them all
Youngster DS is looking forward to Thursday reform! He is anxiously awaiting word on what activities are planned as he is new company so does not know the “traditions” of Hello night. And it isn’t over yet!
Fair point. That said, people change at USNA and most relationships don't survive that change.Little bit different as he was a college re-applicant, so it is a college relationship, and she is at school only 45 minutes away from the Academy. (And we are 40 minutes away).
An operational risk note. As a plebe, he cannot ride in her car with GF unless he is on leave.Agreed. His mom and I are continue to guess when/if they are going to make it. We'll how this semester goes!
Friendly edit ... "is not supposed to" or "is prohibited from" riding in GF car as a Plebe. An operational risk note. As a plebe, he cannot ride in her car with GF unless he is on leave.
Well said. That’s why I led with “operational risk.” Learning to do those assessments before setting out to break rules is an essential skill.Friendly edit ... "is not supposed to" or "is prohibited from" riding in GF car as a Plebe.
I'm certainly not encouraging anyone to break rules (I was pretty much a goody goody the whole time), but when it comes to relationships, all bets are off. All I can say is that if you do the crime --- be prepared to do the time. Restriction is not fun, particularly as a Plebe.
Plenty of stories of those that tried...and get caught. Word to the wise, don't think that you are smart or more clever than those that went before you....
