Getting tingly just thinking about.. Navy Football!!

Do you have a parking pass? Only those with pre-purchased passes loaded to their phones can enter Stadium parking. Everyone else parks ad hoc at schools, churches and private homes at the going cash rate, or else takes the free shuttle from elsewhere. Street parking is free in the area if you arrive early enough.

I’ll attach the game day guide link.

Don’t forget the Navy stadium follows NFL stadium rules about what you can bring in, especially relating to size of personal bags. Jackets with pockets, clear totes and small wristlets are the way to go.

Those in the know, please tell me about parking, general ... enter thru gate 1, 3, 3a or 7 only. First game ever this weekend... flying out tomorrow!
I believe you need a parking pass for parking at the stadium. Unless arriving early, Taylor ave closes and gate 7 would be tough to enter.
On visit with now Plebe son, we parked at Germantown Elementary with his scout troop. It is a couple blocks away.

Pro Tip to avoid Game Day Traffic coming off US-50 to Bestgate Rd to Rowe Blvd and Stadium (why do I give this away??):

The “Back Way” - avoid the US-50 slowdown near the Bestgate exit.

Come into Annapolis via West Street near the Mall area, I think it’s Exit 23, “Parole,” well before Bestgate Road Exit. Head toward Annapolis proper/downtown on West Street. It’s a Left off the Parole ramp if you’re coming from DC direction.

Turn Left on Admiral Drive, then a fast Right onto Poplar Avenue.

Turn Left when you are forced to onto Windell Avenue **** Germantown School **** is on your right, satellite parking.

You will start seeing folks waving you into their home driveways for parking.

Continue on Windell Avenue to Cedar Park Road. Turn Right. Cedar Park runs along the back side of the Stadium, crossing Farragut which borders one side of the stadium and ends at Taylor Avenue, which borders the other side.

You will see homes everywhere offering parking.

A Right turn on Taylor takes you back to Spa Circle and West St.

This is also my post-game escape route - Cedar Park > Windell > Poplar. Left on Admiral Drive takes you back to West Street. Right on Admiral Drive takes you slant-wise to Bestgate but well past the ramp area for US-50 and congestion. That’s how I head home to the General’s Highway area.

Of course, pre-game, you can also come out of DTA (downtown Annapolis) on West St., go past Spa Circle and turn Right on Admiral Drive, to go the Back Way. Or you can get off Spa Circle and go down Taylor, do try not to mow down pedestrians walking in that way.

I realize that i am changing the subject, but Ohio vs Notre Dame on week one is crazy

You probably meant this, but Ohio doesn’t play Notre Dame this week, or this season. Ohio plays Florida Atlantic this week. ND plays Ohio State. Buckeye fans would make sure it is referenced as THE Ohio State University.

yes, you are correct, The Ohio State vs The Notre Dame;)

I am generally unimpressed by , and could care less about, celebrities and pro -athletes, but if there is one that I'd pick to have a beer or play a round of golf with, Charles Barkley has to be near the top of the list !
Many moons ago, I would go to the gym every morning before work and swim. Afterwards, I would relax in the hot tub. One particular morning there was a gentleman noticeably hiding behind a newspaper in the hot tub. When he realized I wasn’t going to bother him he relaxed and moved his newspaper down…it was Charles Barkley! 😉

About 23 years ago, I may have slugged Charles Barkley in the arm when he made fun of my last name. He looked so surprised and asked if I really just punched him. I said, “did you just make fun of my last name”? We both laughed! He’s a fun and funny guy!

The game was a sleeper today …

News Flash … my Mid is better than your Mid … I probably got this wrong, but I believe our DD’s company #15 was awarded the most distinguished Company during Brigade walk-on …. the stadium announcer said something about company #15 is the “Color Guard” company because of their exceptional “Athleticism” and “Service Awards” … or something like that …. I am not good at details like this …. Maybe someone here on the forum can fill in for me 🥸

Anyway … DW got the following picture of daughter’s Company #15 walking in through the entrance tunnel to the stadium today

Here’s your study material.

It recognizes the company’s achievement in the last academic year, earned by the mids in the classes of 2022, 23, 24 and 25. The company is entitled to carry the color company guidon this year. Lucky landing for new youngsters who randomly landed in the company that earned it last year!

Today was rough. The score could easily have been 30-7 if not for a stellar defensive effort.
To say we have work to do is an understatement. I have faith, fingers crossed next weekend is better. A loss in person will sting more.
