On my West Point portal, it says that I have a nomination for MS61 (which is Sen. Wicker). His office has confirmed that they have given me the nomination. However, there are two boxes that say MS61 as opposed to one. Is this a mistake? It appears to be a box where another nomination would go, but it has the same code. Any knowledge is greatly appreciated!
possibly they have 2 upcoming openings and you are on both slates they submitted

DS received Sen. Feinstein nomination for USAFA today both via phone message and on his portal. Super excited.... Now we wait for word from the Academy.

Seems that Maryland senators and our district's house of rep. congressman are late to the game. They just conducted interviews over the last month, and my son said he believes they do not announce until later January.

Anyone else have this experience???
Exactly the same here. I finished my last interview for my District rep on the 5th of December and received the following dates from each Senator/ Representative as a guideline for nomination notification.

Representative Raskin: January 1st (goal date for his office)
Senator Van Hollen: Mid/ Early January
Senator Cardin: Early February (first week)

My son has Cardin and Van Hollen as well, and Sarbanes for his rep. He's asking the Senators for the USAFA, and Sarbanes for USNA.

He's only missing his nomination to finish off his LOA requirements for the USNA appointment, so we are anxious to get an answer!

I got a Nomination to USAFA by my district representative (MD-06). I am still waiting for the Senators decision.

I was just notified that I received a MOC nomination! One step closer! I’m in Illinois
Such exciting news 🎉!Congrats! From IL too & the excitement the nomination for DS brought is something I will always remember, even if he doesn’t get in. (He received a Durbin nom to UNSA.)

Good luck 🍀 to you!

DS nomination showed in his portal today after a week of being notified.

He has everything he needs for an appointment
LOA+3Q+nomination =Appointment

Does anyone know how long it takes to be offered an appointment after all the above is completed?

Congratulations! and hopefully soon :)
Depends if it is a principle or not, but the majority of people wait until March.
From nomination FAQ thread :
IF you have a Letter of Assurance (LOA) and are otherwise fully qualified, ANY nomination is sufficient for an appointment. Thus, if you receive an LOA, once you know you have a nom, you could withdraw your application from other nom sources. That said, BE SURE that you have the nom first. Not only confirm it with the MOC’s office but also contact the SA to make sure THEY have it. The last thing you want is for the MOC not to submit his slate, etc. The surest thing to do is wait until you have that appointment certificate in hand and then pull any remaining nom submissions.

Sorry to hear that. Any other noms? Plan B-Z?

It’s not over until 8am on I Day.
