2028 State Nominations Thread

USPS informed delivery is a blessing and a curse. Haha! DS has already received a nomination and a letter from Senator Durbin, but USPS shows he has another letter from Senator Durbin arriving today. My mind is running wild with what that could be. They wouldn't notify of an appointment that way would they? Maybe an invite to a nomination reception? Oh well, going to try and put it out of my mind until DS gets the mail this evening.

This made me look at ours too 😂. I was done w/ Informed Delivery last week when his nomination notification from Senator Duckworth went missing…. Thankfully the neighbor had it. Now I see this too & his letter from the White House (prob congratulations for his Eagle Scout). But …. I’m not saying anything to him! He was so excited to finally learn Duckworth’s decision last week (good or bad) but was disappointed when we couldn’t find the letter - I created more anxiety. I’ll try to keep this to myself 😂…..

Haha!! I will keep it quiet as well. Congrats on the Eagle Scout! Did Durbin or Duckworth do a nomination reception when your oldest was nominated?

Thank you - it was quite a journey! Our oldest only had a nom from Senator Durbin & nothing was done other than an email notification & the media announcement. But… it was during COVID so I don’t think it was a “normal” process for anyone. Very curious as to what’s in the mail today 😜.
 
My son is still in a holding pattern. His congressman hasn’t sent it to the SAs (after over a month since they received their letters - maybe they are doing more interviews if some turned it down?) and nothing either way from the Ohio senators…assuming it will be a week of no to little news…

Welp! It's a copy of the first letter dated 10 days later. Weird.

Same here. DS waiting on Ohio Senators and Congressman (Miller). We'd had hoped to hear something either way before Christmas. He has his HSSP Type 1 and he's been accepted to MIT but I'm pulling for the SA. Not my decision though. :)

Same here regarding Ohio's senators. I had read on SAF that they were starting to make calls, but nothing yet. The nominations of our MOC (Rep. Jordan) appear in DS's portals for the last few weeks, but no notice from the office. Just waiting now.

That’s interesting; so no email or phone call from Rep McBath. DS is in GA-07 also. He got an email when he got Senator Warnock’s nomination for USMA. I guess every MOC does it differently.

It was pretty late when I checked the portal, perhaps the email or call will come later? It definitely is unpredictable between MOCs though.
