Humor for my Navy and Marine friends

I’ve lived on anti inflammatories for decades. A few years ago a doctor told me to stop and my blood pressure would get back to normal. I showed him my knees. He said, never mind.

That guy, ENSIGN Finarkle.

Okay...it's not navy...but this reminded me of a "you aren't gonna believe this..." that I witnessed.

SHORT version. I'm the aircraft commander of a KC-135R redeploying from Anderson AFB, Guam, to Hickam AFB, Hawaii. We've got room so I opened up seats for "space available passengers." That brought out this 0-6 from PACAF HQ...he comes to the jet with everyone else, drops his bags in front of the boom operator (BO, TSgt, E-6), and says "These are mine." And proceeds to go somewhere...

Meanwhile the BO begins briefing the passengers on safety issues, the "idiosyncrasies of the '135, etc." Then he tells everyone, grab your bags and follow me.

We launch, the 0-6 wants to sit in the cockpit to watch the takeoff...fine, RHIP. Then he goes back and claims the crew chiefs bunk to sleep during the flight. A huge no-no.

We arrive at Hickam...deplane the passengers, they head off, and we put the jet to bed. BUT WAIT...there's the 0-6...he's looking confused and not entirely happy. I ask if I can help him, he says something in a mumble and asks "where's that sergeant from Guam?" I pointed out my BO (and inwardly starting writing the reply-by-indorsement letter that I assumed was coming for some transgression) and waited. The yelling commenced, the language deteriorated...I stupidly put my powerful 0-3 cap on and went to "offer assistance sir?"

Bottom line...he screamed at my BO: "Where are my bags??" To which my BO said: "Sir, where did you last see them?" "You idiot, when I walked up to you and put them in front of you and said these are my bags." "Okay sir...did you bring them aboard the aircraft?" "Of course not, that's your job; WHERE are my bags?" "Uh sir, if you didn't bring them on the jet, they're where you left them."

In Guam.

Yeah...it got ugly for a while.

But we still hit Duke's and...relaxed.
