No Response From PMS AROTC

I only have my PMS interview left for my AROTC Scholarship portal. I contacted both the PMS and the Assistant PMS at my closest unit listed on my application portal and neither have responded. If I don’t get a response within another day or two, should I reach out to the officers at the next closest unit and see if they can get my interview in? I want to complete it before January 15th to be ready for the board.

No reason to wait but I expect most everyone is gone through New Year or later. When the students aren't there these folks disappear too, either on holiday or a short military assignment.

Probably best to reach out to both the second and third closest ROTC departments. A lot of schools are out until mid/late January, so it’s slim pickings.

How did you contact them? Possibly via email? If so, then I’d give them a jingle. My DS initially sent email requests & got nowhere - like radio silent. I think emails ended up in “junk folders”. He then called (had to leave a message) & had responses within days. Just be sure to practice what you plan to say just in case you have to leave a message.....

The administrative assistant for the PMS or battalion can be a good resource and may in fact have responsibility for scheduling. Try to get that person on the phone Monday morning.

By the way, are people doing Zoom interviews these days for AROTC?

It's likely that most AROTC units are on vacation until at least January 4 since school is not in session. If you're fortunate, they will be checking their email. I recommend contacting both the Recruiting Officer and the PMS. I also agree with what others have posted - calling and emailing them both. For this year, it is not out of the ordinary for the PMS Interview to be complete via Zoom. My DD completed her PMS Interview via Zoom.

What is a ROO? I’ve never heard that term used on the forums or anywhere else. I’ve been emailing so I’m going to try calling the units on Monday
Recruiting Operations Officer, also called the scholarship and enrollment officer.
