Posts after AROTC?

I heard at USMA posts are chosen/ranked by the cadets... how are posts assigned after AROTC? Are there certain jobs assigned for the posts or...?

ALSO will there still be that new branching system in place where AROTC and USMA cadets will equally compete for jobs in 2025?

ROTC cadets rank their duty preferences, and can also volunteer for an additional Active Duty Service Obligation (ADSO) to get their first choice. I wouldn't recommend an ADSO for duty location though. You will get a duty assignment based on your preferences and more heavily weighted by needs of the Army. However as a 2LT, you can swap duty stations with other 2LTs while you are at BOLC.
