This thread will be dedicated to Questions, Chatter and Congratulations for the Class of 2027!!!

All reappointees may also use this thread as they wish. I hope this will turn into a Mini tradition since it has been a great success and it would be great to get it started early!

Like last year all questions can be directed here instead of the appointment list!

Congratulations for starting this process and Good Luck 27’!

DS #2 up to the plate. For those of you first-timers, buckle up, it's a breathtaking, exhausting ride.

Hey everyone I got a Falcon Foundation offer. I currently take 6 classes two of which are ap calc and ap physics. I am also struggling in these classes and am worried I might get a C grade in both of these classes. Do need to be worried about my offer being pulled. I am currently in high school school and will graduate in 3 weeks.

So you posted this somewhere else too but I'll answer it here. No you don't need to worry. I know C's are fine. Now may change after you get into the program as C's may not be passing.

Reach out to your teachers and ask for help as soon as you can, often times they will help you bring your grade up.

What prep school are you considering going to?

We just applied to NWP. Hopefully DS will get accepted since he doesn’t have a Falcon Scholarship. I see from the forums this is a great prep and a lot of FSS attend. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
You got this!!! As a third-time reapplicant now, I definitely grew over the last year, and I plan to grow even more over the next. Good luck at NWP! Hopefully I see your DS in a Hawaiian shirt next year ;)

Where do you think you can improve?

My highschool GPA was dogwater, but I had a 4.0 in college. I will just try to keep my college GPA as high as I can to show I can handle college engineering coursework. Additionally, I've never held a job before (because of said extracurriculars, I would start my days at around 5 and get home around midnight), so I hope my summer internship at Edwards will add to that section of the application. My extracurriculars are very good and I was a varsity athlete, so I'm not too worried about that.

Your DS should get in. I just finished at NWP for class of 21. I didn’t apply last year until mid May for NWP. I did not have a falcon foundation scholarship either.

Also the Hawaiian shirt is the best part, sadly I won’t get to wear mine for class of 26 but I will be applying for class of 27 as a second-time reapplicant.
