2025 State Nominations Thread

There was an earlier post I think that said CA Senators received 800 or so each.

In a state of 40 million even that seems low.

Senator Menendez for NJ called back today (DS missed the call yesterday) with a nomination for USAFA. Another step closer...good luck to everyone!

Do they usually call everyone in one day or over a series of days?

Just keep in mind elected officials call or not as they choose, when their schedulers put it on their call schedule. Someone hands them a list of calls to make, with a short blurb on the relevant details. Or a staffer might make the call, “please hold for Senator Filibuster,” etc.

Typically, I think they try to get them done at once, but schedules change, plans change for the individuals trying to make the calls and it's covid times, anything can happen! Historically, I don't think Senator Booker and Senator Menendez have followed the same timeline or notification process, so I'm guessing there are still more to come from either or both. For our DS, both calls came from Senator Menendez himself too - so if the senator is making the call instead of the staff making the call, then of course it will depend as well on their availability.

Okay! Yeah makes sense. I'm wondering who else received the call now....very stressful. Also, I was wondering whether completing the application for the academies earlier can affect my nomination. It makes the most sense right incase they connect with one another?

Hi everybody, I received two nominations in Oregon, listed as OR61. I think this is Merkley’s nomination but I am not sure. Is this a double nomination? And is this good for me?

at least 4 from our school district (3+ applying to usafa).

Same for my school expect it was 5 and another 8 from the school near ours.

I received a nomination to USAFA from Senator Blunt today, and I also have a nomination from Representative Graves for USNA that I received in early December.
