The ONLY mayo I consume is an ultra-fine film of Duke’s
Sadly, you can't get Duke's in my area. I used to get it when I commuted weekly to Hunt Valley but now my supplies are bought locally and sadly, that precludes this delicacy.

According to Merriam-Webster, a sandwich is "two or more slices of bread or a split roll having a filling in between." By that definition, hot dogs seem to qualify as sandwiches. Many people argue, though, that while the hot dog technically fits the dictionary definition of a sandwich, it's simply not a sandwich. It is its own thing.

And may the best argument win.

Amazon sells Duke's. 4 bottles delivered are only $27.00

Well, I'm an innovator and took the filling out of a Hot Dog sandwich, sliced it and mixed it in with Ramen along with some frozen corn to make a good meal.

For a small fee… I can also get Blue Plate, the only other kind I will eat. No added sugar in either. Ft. Meade and Annapolis Commissaries carry both.

I get that the Ramen is nice and crunchy, but doesn't the frozen corn hurt your teeth?

Ramen Noodles right out of the packet, add water, Microwave for 2.5 mins. While Microwaves is going, slice Hotdog. Remove Ramen from Microwave, add hotdog and frozen corn, put back in the microwave, 1.5 mins, remove from microwave, add contents of flavor packet, mix and serve.

1. Hotdog buns are one piece. Thus, disqualifying them from the aforementioned definition.
2. Ketchup is for burgers, not hotdogs.

Hot dog buns are indeed one piece, but they are certainly a "split roll" if you accept the sandwich definition. So what you're saying here @Skipper07 is that you're prepared to throw down with Merriam-Webster?

Ketchup shouldn't be placed on anything, except maybe dull Revereware (ketchup will shine up dull copper if you leave it on overnight).
The more you know. ;)

Oh sorry. I assumed subway was all across America.

And I hate subway fwiw. My son loves it.
My MIDN likes Subway, I am not a fan. It is his go-to when fast food is the only option (out here, Burger King, McD's, Wendy's are our local options).

Oh, I think my shipmate @OldRetSWO was commenting about Subway subs can’t really compete with your Northeastern corner non-chain deli hoagie/grinder/torpedo.
LMAO I didn’t understand! That’s pretty funny.

But wait - I thought it was him that put me down because I was in upstate NY months ago!

I tried Jersey Mike’s recently - my twin bragged about how great it was in Ohio. I was not impressed. My older brother and I made homemade ones much better. The roast beef wasn’t great there.

We tried a Jersey Mike’s recently. Philly native DH: 👎

We will occasionally close our eyes and get one from Capriotti’s in Annapolis. The bread isn’t quite right, and they use white American cheese.
