Can a visit to USMMA help boost my chances of admission/receiving an appointment?

I am wondering if it is beneficial to my application if I can go visit now (and demonstrate showing an interest), or should I sit tight (and not miss school and take an expensive trip) and let the process play out.

I would probably let the process play out. A visit will let you learn more about what the school is like, but will likely have no effect on an admission decision. I know the waiting is tough, but you will probably have your decision in the next 4-6 weeks. Good luck.

I never visited (lived on the West Coast at the time) and it didn't matter. . . .
