Navy to begin separation process

@A1Janitor-

You couldn't even have read that in the amount of time it took before you posted your reaction.

Too bad you find the Supreme Court and logic to be funny, even if you didn't read it first.
I read every word. I don’t see the benefit in responding as highly political debate is not what this forum is about, and your post appears to be off topic to me.

The mods prefer disengagement.

We can agree to disagree.

Right, so much more off topic than liquor in this thread (that I am actually in favor of by the way).

Anyway, the Supreme Court having ruled on this very same issue, as well as the existence of other laws and regulations for the "greater good" are not "political" issues but they are the law.

The Supreme Court ruled that a state can have compulsory vaccinations. Not the federal government.

Back on topic(s) … I like bourbon, scotch, and rum. And the thread is about military separation, not state rights. We all agree the military has this authority.

You are kidding, correct?

Have you actually read the 14th Amendment? Do you understand how the 14th Amendment works as between the state and federal government? Have you actually read the case?

Now I just think you are trolling.

Be salty and use “the sun is over the yardarm somewhere in the Empire,” a useful concept dating from the Royal Navy.
I like the Jimmy Buffett line. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere.
Time for a rum Hot Toddy. Purely for medicinal purposes, of course. Something tickling my throat and my nose seems a little runny. Plus the WHO recommends them as as a preventive for COVID. I would post the research on it, but the paper is in French Pig Latin.

In 1914, SECNAV Josephus Daniels banned U.S. Navy ships from serving alcohol. This ban led to sailors drinking their weight in coffee every day and never washing their cups. Sailors are weird.
It drove me nuts flying into Basra. The Brits felt their soldiers were responsible enough to have a beer ration (2 per day).
We would listen to our GOs lecture us about General Order #1 (no drinking), then take them to Ali Al Salem so they could catch a flight to Qatar or the UAE for an “important meeting”. 🙄

Since there has been a merging of themes in this thread, courtesy of @USMCGrunt, I am ready, @deepdraft1. Fill mine above the Navy line, please.

@Small Team Bacsi posted that he needed a drink. Please fill his and all our age eligible SAF posters a shot to a level of their choosing. Keep my tab open. We'll square up later. After all, ‘Tis the season! Be merry all.
I'm guessing the Marines just drink from the bottle, so no need for a line?

Okay, I'm a bit confused.

I've been to many an "interservice" party. And while I have seen that shot glass, in various service configurations, I've never understood it. Especially that sad line referencing the USAF.

I mean...when USAF pilots arrive at a party, we're very considerate. We bring our own mugs so that we don't dirty the hosts' glassware. And since we're equally adept at downing any adult beverage with the skill borne of combat aviators, we just need one mug.

And so we don't spend all night at the bar, keeping our brethren of the other service from refilling their glasses...

It's a one-quart mug.

I mean, isn't that befitting a USAF fighter pilot?

I have my 20 oz Yeti handling the transport in the kitchen. I do NOT have 20 ozs in it. Just keeps my beverage close at hand at a good temp while I do a flank steak on the range grill tonight.

Now, is someone could deliver me a quality Dark & Stormy…
