@Tucker2023 That's interesting. It probably varies depending on what the waiver is for. I called my DODMERB technician a ton and eventually got the head of waivers for NROTC's phone number. NROTC began the waiver process for me (like USNA). It never hurts to call. It's still pretty early in the process and DODMERB may be super backed up (they've been anytime I've tried to interact with them.
Most of the whole story:
I got my DQ update (Eyesight) on 25 April and had a request for a remedial on 30 April. Went to DODMETS remedial and to my own and chose to submit my own attachment. After reaching out to head of waivers for NROTC, I heard from here I was good to go during the second week of June. Fast forward two months my portal still hasn't updated, and a frantic call to the same person revealed for some reason there was some hold on my status that wasn't supposed to be there and should clear up. Two weeks later the letter came officially.
Note: Based on talking to friends, my situation with the hold and delay was unique to me. Nobody needs to loose sleep at night thinking it may happen to them. Best situation is to be proactive
*It should be noted that the DODMERB system underwent an update last year that changed some statuses in the system that caused people to freak out, everyone I know wound up being okay.
