Here is a simple example of a high school student's resume. Keep it simple. Use good quality paper and be watchful of grammar, spelling and punctuation.

USMA has been very pro active since DS applied to WP SLE though application is not officially open. Recruitment has sent packet with very specific tips for pre candidates. One valuable tool is a resume example. The recruiter expressly requested applicants use the exact format for easy mass viewing Does USAFA offer or request this for candidates?

Are resumes allowed to be more than one page? I know the universal rule is to fit everything on the front side of a single page. What are your thoughts?

My son generally works half days. Except yesterday. His 12 hour day got longer due to a vehicle rollover. Nobody hurt though.Not as long as those of our active duty military men and women!
There is no single resume format that works better than others if that is what the OP is asking. As others have pointed out, brief is better and you need to make sure the listed items are things you accomplished and not bragging/exaggerating about things you didn't actually do. There are many other aspects to getting an appointment such as passing the CFA, DODMERB and getting a NOM, none of which have anything to do with your resume. You may also look great on paper and then do a terrible job during the MOC NOM interview, which could also impact your ability to get an appointment.
I don't see any point in trying to match resumes with others as this becomes yet another of those 'chance me' threads. The official SA websites list the typical candidate qualifications and class profile, so that is where I would start.

There are also tons of templates already formatted on different websites/Word. Totally agree with one page. Move margins and change fonts to get it there...it can be done at 18.
One thing to not overlook is the visual aspect. Balanced, clean, visually appealing. We made sure and had an ‘artsy’ person or two look at DS’s.
Another thing for younger readers of this thread, it’s a good idea start in your early high school years. Have a working draft going and add accomplishments along the way. So much easier than trying to recall later on.

I’ve been reviewing resumes for 25 years as a “hiring manager” as well as a “secondary interviewer.” I can attest that the best way to guarantee that someone will NOT read your entire resume is to put it on two pages! Unless your work history is 20 years and you’re a senior-level person, there’s zero reason your resume should exceed one page (and that’s with minimum 11-point font and maximum 1” margins). The idea is for the reader to consume your resume, not drown in it. None of us wants to drown.
