SMP Cadet Transfer?

Is it possible for an SMP cadet to transfer to another school? I will be in in the Indiana guard soon, and I plan on attending a local school for my freshman year, after which I plan to apply for the USMA. But if this doesn't work out, I'm interested to know, is it possible for me to transfer to VMI or the Citadel? How would I go about transferring guard state? Thanks for any information!
 
I’m not sure what the procedure is today but it shouldn’t be an issue. I transferred from NY to VA as an SMP after I finished basic training (I did split training for my MOS).
 
You understand you'll do a full fourth class year at Citadel and the full Rat Line at VMI.

I'd honestly think about going the full four years at VMI/Citadel if you can possibly swing it.
